Day 85/365
This self portrait was hard to manage with Frodo trying to pull the sheets and my hair! Unfortunately I don't have a behind the scene photo of that :(
My photo was featured in the Grae magazine.Yay!
I was going to post a video of our performance yesterday, but the uploader hates me. So this is the next best thing. Besides, I need to make myself happy until I'm able to go to bed and not think about a thing, so I'm looking at my backstage photos.
Yesterday was all about love. It was about the love for music, it was about the new friendships and the feeling that things will always be this fun and new. It was about joy. It was about the love for the stage (even when it makes me feel like I'm going to pass out). It was about the backstage and the jokes and the plans for future adventures. It was about noise. It was about The Beatles. It was about a choir of people whose names we barely knew three months ago. It was about students who had never seen each other, until a couple of months ago, but went to the same school. It was about the early morning singing rehearsals (save us!), about going off tune, about repeating the same parts over and over again until they're okay. It was about going home singing the other part's part instead of our own, and laughing about it. It was about facebook chats. It was about making new friends. It was about fangirling over teachers. It was about giggle fits. It was about music.
When I find myself in times of trouble/ mother Mary comes to me/ Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
I bought a new sundress. = ]]]
Also. I'm getting a new tattoo soon! It'll be birds next. It's pending, so we'll see. I still love my "Let it be" one, and I think I need more pics of it.
Yesterday was one daughter's birthday and tomorrow is my other's. Today is a birthday party for my younger daughter. Busy!!!!
Here my older daughter models her first cell phone and the crazy red bull / red sock monkey devil (we're not sure which but either way it's fun) hat she got for her birthday.
And this is what most of the the snapshots of my girls look like -- one sister making silly faces in the background. Usually it messes up the photo. Here it kind of works so I thought I'd share :-)
As you can see, we are busy right now. I hope to have some times to take a look at your streams tomorrow, but I won't be on here much today.
BTW, look at that number on top! It seemed like a good idea last year to start my 365 right after my daughters' birthdays. But of course now I'm finishing it during them. Probably not the best idea.

I define the sky blue is GRD Blue..
And when the night is cloudy,
there is still a light that shines on me,
shine until tomorrow,
let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom,
let it be.
Day 21 - September 5th, 2009
Okay I am ready to rant about this photo,
are you ready to hear it?
So this photo took a lot of effort.
I had to go buy black nail polish.
Then, my mom was about to throw out this picture frame so I had to steal it for a while to take the picture.
My nails look so nice here.
Now they are all short because I have guitar lessons.
Want to know somthing sad?
I actually made my skin tone darker for this photo because I looked super pale. Thank goodness for photo editing.
So this is one of the tatoos I'm thinking of eventually getting.
This isn't actually drawn on me by the way.
I just edited it in too.
After all that I'm not even happy with this photo...life sucks sometimes.

The Beatles - Let It Be
When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.
And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree,
There will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is
Still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be. Yeah
There will be an answer, let it be.
And when the night is cloudy,
There is still a light that shines on me,
Shine on until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
There will be an answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be,
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

It has been an intense and tense month for those of us here in the States involved in or concerned about politics and the world. There have been disappointments, triumphs and above all lessons. I'm taking a long-weekend holiday and wanted to leave you with this small bit of much-needed serenity, viewed from one of my favourite places and a bit of music that I love, too. There's renewal to be had in the one, good words for life in the other. Peace, my friends...
