If life deals you lemons then make lemonade, or, slice one up and give it some strobism :)

Lemons often cheer me up!

Recent research shows that taking predominantly dark and/or blue photographs indicate the photographer may be suffering from depression...

Loaded with large, succulent looking fruit! Only problem is they are still green!

Cake.... (a long story - shortened)

I had an OLD orange cake mix, which I baked in early Dec. It was so nasty, it tasted like baby aspirins..... gag, gag, gag.... The store didn't have any orange mixes, so we had a lemon cake instead.

Every Australian backyard deserves a lemon tree and these specimens are great ones, groaning under the weight of healthy fruit.

Lemon verbena is such a delectable plant. Brush past in and you release the most exquisite lemon fragrance. After its delicate pale lilac flowers had finished this year, I just left the stems untouched. This stem got a touch of frost which curled the leaves up in a delightful way resembling an antique hat stand.

Meyer lemons off our tree. Meyers are not true lemons, but rather lemon/orange crosses, making them sweeter and less acidic than a true lemon. I find that their flavor and aroma has a flowery quality to it. These quickly became lemonade, which I am now drinking.

My Mom's lemon tree at my parents' house in Paradise, California froze out once in the 80's. Amazingly enough, it came back a couple years later, and it is still pumping out lemons every year in its dark nook beneath the deck. My Mom used to make delicious lemon meringue pies using the lemons from this tree. Since she's been gone, the lemons just fall to the ground neglected... like everything else around the house.

Damn, going back home is depressing... :(

After the kiwi with a white background, I tried the lemon with a black background.

I gonna squeeze it now to make a juice full of vitamines...

Playing with high key and macro. Placed a thin slice of lemon on my light pad and shot from above. 50mm lens with a 2x extender to make a 100mm macro lens of sorts. Croped in a tad and PP in Luminar Al.

Abutilon I found yesterday during a walk around the golf course. Not an easy capture, holding the leash handle (attached to Mister B) under my arm...but I did pretty good considering.
