*This is the sexiest looking actress in Hollywood history". My personal opinion right here even though it can be discussed how to compare a woman from the 1940s that had to adhere to the rigid ethical codes of minimum sex appeal on view at the time against someone like Pamela Anderson that had every opportunity to strip off to her panties in the 1990s. Gene had the most stunningly perfect face that ever graced the big screen in the entire 111+ year history of Hollywood to date. Her figure was utterly stunning as well. With regards to her film career, it blossomed during the Second World War years after an uneasy start in the late 1930s where it was bounded about that Gene just wasn't a good actress. "As pretty as a sunset" but virtually no acting range whatsoever to trouble the likes of Katherine Hepburn. But stuck at it she did and the breaks soon came along with hits like "The Return of Frank James (1940) and starring role "Belle Star" (1941). Then her star ascended from there starring in hit after hit and the acting skills grew with it. Her two best and most well known films were film noir masterpieces "Laura" (1944), and for me her greatest ever film that earned her an "Best Actress" Oscar nomination "Leave Her To Heaven" (1945). The whole of the 1940s was her decade and one of the biggest stars at the time. The 1950s was another strong decade with great film noir and drama vehicles to her name. As usual with high visibility in the spotlight and huge pressures in her personal life - the cracks began to show. A failed marriage behind her looking after two children and one being a disabled daughter began to take it's toll on her. Launching herself into ill advised love affairs that went nowhere and mental illness resulted in her been admitted into hospital for depression and underwent the now barbaric extensive "Electric Shock" treatment for her mental illness. She took 7 years away from the big screen going into semi retirement to "find her happy place again" and returned in 1962's great cold war thriller "Advise & Consent". Not long after this though she knew and the industry let her know her services were no longer in demand. Only three more film credits came along before calling it a day in 1964 aged only 44 years old??? Imagine that these days with a top actress hitting the skids by their early 40s. Television came calling for a few guest spot appearances in the mid to late 1960s like classic show "The F.B.I" (1969) and the final role in tv series "Scruples" (1980). Just a decade later she was gone, Emphysema claimed her at just aged 70 in November 1991. Today's stars just don't know how lucky they really are compared to the trials of Gene Tierney - An American Legend. *Above pic of beautiful angelic Gene in the early 1940s where barely any other actress in her day got close to that perfect little face and beautiful figure.
This years JQJAZZ Legends Festival took place between the 20th & 22nd. May in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter and was promoted by Birmingham Jazz. If you missed it there's chance to catch another weekend of events from 22nd - 24th July 2016.
Geeeente, que esmalte difícil de fotografar, viu?!... deve ser pra compensar a beleza, já que nada nessa vida é perfeito ahahaha.
Recebi esta semana uma caixa de DL e, ao testá-los nas unhas, a pedido da Ste, me apaixonei perdidamente pelo Oblivion. que foi escalado para ser a base da próxima carimbada do desafio, mas antes eu quis curtir o lindo sozinho por um dia ou dois.
Ele faz parte da coleção Sparky, lançada há um ano, com mini vidrinhos fofuchos <3. É um teal naquele tom petróleo, feito o do Azul Pavão da Impala, mas a semelhança para por aí, pois o Oblivion tem uma fórmula jelly bem pigmentada, que cobre bem com duas camadas. Eu só precisei passar a terceira porque usei uma base ~brilhosa, que fez a primeira camada arrastar e manchar um pouco (tenho certeza que a culpa foi da base pq testei os DL sem base nenhuma e ele não arrastou nem manchou).
Na primeira camada a cor fica mais vibrante, mas na segunda fecha no tom do vidrinho, bem escura. As partículas holográficas não são glitter, parecem ser uns micro flakes, e pelo que percebi são prateadas, sendo que na sombra assumem a cor da base, num tom mais clarinho, e no sol piscam lindas em todas as cores.
Secou rápido e com brilho digno, e o que mais me surpreendeu foi que, apesar dessa cor que grita "vou manchar até sua alma!" não deu trabalho de limpar e tudo indica que não virarei uma smurfette, pois ele não manchou a unha do teste, quando removi no dia seguinte. E sim, fiquei até o outro dia com uma unha de cada cor, encantada com meus novos bebês, auehuah me julguem.
Foi bem difícil resolver qual foto postar e acabei optando por uma ao sol, mas nos coments tem outras. Eu achei as fotos da Panasonic com a cor mais fiel, a Nikon teimou em captá-lo bem azul. =/

I generally didn't like the nuttiness and overly-armored look of the '90s, but there's something about this Daredevil figure that I really dig.

So Tom Hardy is playing two brother gangsters in this movie who are very, very, different from one another. Now does this movie deserve any awards for what he has done? Let's get to the good and the bad!
Good: Tom Hardy is spectacular in this film. It just goes to show the range he can do in this film by playing two completely different people, it's really cool. The dude Hardy plays with the glasses is a maniac and the other dude he plays is all smooth, which was interesting to contrast the two opposites. This movie also explores the mafias of London in the 1960's and such and it's really interesting to see a gangster film from the other side of the pond. There was also some mafia stuff that was really intense and had me on the edge of my seat at some point. I should also point out that everyone else did a good job playing their parts, the kid from Kingsmen was in this so that was cool.
Bad: First off, the title is dumb, it makes no sense. Secondly, this movie dragged on for so long that for every exciting part in this movie, there was like 20 minutes of boringness. And one last thing, I'm sorry but in some parts in this movie there needed to be subtitles because I couldn't understand a thing these guys were saying through their British accent!
Overall, this movie really could have been something great, but it just became a little bland with some exciting parts here in there, so I'm going to give Legend a 6/10. By no means is this a bad movie, just a one you can skip.

Spider-man and Rhino from Marvel Legends Fearsome Foes boxset. Spidey has the same body as the SMC12 Spidey but sports a different headsculpt. Though it is nice, I find it is still inferior to SMC12's. Rhino, is my 2nd favourite character featured in the boxset. Huge, with nice textured skin. No modern armour, this is the classics man. Couldn't ask for a better Rhino.
