"Julian Walking," says the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, is a "full-length animated portrait" on an LED screen attached to the harbor side of the Northern Avenue Bridge (now closed). It was created (along with its companion piece, "Suzanne Walking") by Julian Opie, a British artist. The two figures, says the ICA, are "visible both day and night," and "appear to walk endlessly 24 hours a day . . , evoking the strength of Boston as a pedestrian-friendly city."
