Artist Sebastian Errazuriz installation "Blu Marble" live streams NASA satellite footage of Earth. The 20 foot LED screen is installed in a vacant lot in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. In the words of the artist its purpose is to “inspire awareness and mindfulness in our everyday lives.” Seeing the way most people just stroll by without even looking makes me think it's easy to ignore just about anything.

Shamu is the stage name of SeaWorld's iconic Orca (killer whale) show, which is shared by numerous adult male or female orcas at the SeaWorld parks.

"Believe" is the title of the show that we saw.

The show was cut short when the killer whales stopped performing due to some reasons. The trainers noted change in swimming pattern, behavior, etc. We were asked to return for another show time.

Quite understandably, this is the largest predator on earth. Don't mess with the diva! LOL.

So we went to the D-listers: the penguins. :-)

Success is no accident.

It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.

I am proud to announce that over 100 of my images are now on display at the brand new MGM Cotai in Macao. The largest display in the world.

I work consistently and still with great pleasure over 8hrs/ per day and as I am an insomniac, often at night too. I love the silence of the night.

I think this is the future for photo-art Exhibition, moving/changing images on LED screens.

Have a lovely day and thank you for your visit, hope you enjoyed, M, (*_*)

Sky church during "vibrations", an artistic short film, shows a ballerina dancing in Pointe shoes.

"Sky Church" is a concert venue capable of holding up to 800 guests and boasts of 70-foot ceilings, state-of-the-art sound and lighting, and the largest indoor LED screen in the world. Inspired by a term Jimi Hendrix used to describe a place where people of all ages and cultures could come to collectively celebrate musical experiences, Sky Church sits at the heart of EMP where it acts as a performance space, cinema, and dance hall for various events hosted by the museum throughout the year.

The EMP Museum (formerly known as Experience Music Project and Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame or EMP|SFM) is a museum dedicated to the history and exploration of popular music, science fiction and pop culture located in Seattle, Washington. The Frank Gehry designed museum building is located on the campus of the Seattle Center, adjacent to the Space Needle and the Seattle Center Monorail, which runs through the building.

The EMP Museum was founded by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, and opened its doors in 2000.

Lothian Buses MCV Evora 78 (SJ70 HNO) ‘Oxgangs Hill’ is seen here on Dalkeith Road (A7) by Prestonfield operating a service 30 to Musselburgh Grammar School at Newbigging on its very first journey in service. Taken on the first day of service for the Evoras, Wednesday the 13th of January 2021.

Evora 78 (SJ70 HNO) ‘Oxgangs Hill’ was new to Lothian in late 2020 as 78 designated for service 30 along wi the rest o 66-95. In January 2021 it gained its fleetnumbers and fleetnames before being one of the four first Lothian Evoras to ever operate in service. It is seen in on it’s first service journey of the day, the 07:54 departure to Musselburgh, which was also

the first service journey of its life.

The nickname 'Oxgangs Hill' comes from me nicknaming Evoras 70-80 after hills in the Lothians, this one is the only one not named after an actual peak, but rather a street in Oxgangs, so that it begins wi an O.

Evoras 66 (SJ70 HNA) 'Albert Dock', 78 (SJ70 HNO) 'Oxgangs Hill' and 81 (SJ70 HNT) 'Threipmuir Reservoir' were the three in service on the 30 this morning at the time of this image being taken. Evora 71 (SJ70 HNF) 'Fala Knowe' was the first Lothian Evora (at least wi a functioning tracker unlike 66 'Albert Dock') ever to operate in service, it departed Longstone depot this morning at 06:01 heading to Clovie. 71 'Fala Knowe' went on to a service 2 later on and then off service at 10:38.

Service 30 runs between Clovenstone Drive in Clovie in Wester Hailes, and Musselburgh Grammar School Bus Terminus at Inveresk Brae (A6124) in Lewisvale, Musselburgh via Westside Plaza, Hailesland, Parkhead, Longstone, Saughton, Gorgie, Balgreen, West Approach Road, The Exchange, Princes Street, Bridges, Southside, Newington, Prestonfield, Peffermill, Craigmillar, Niddrie, Cleikimin, Fort Kinnaird, Newcraighall, Stoneybank, Queen Margaret University, Eskview, Olivebank, Fisherrow, Musselburgh High Street and Newbigging.

Service 30 is operated out of Longstone Depot and was unusually operated by Eclipse Ones until 2014 when Hybrid 7900 numbers 11-30 took the route over, this eventually became 11-35, and during lockdown any Hybrid 7900 (1-50) could be seen on the route. The Evoras (66-95) are destined for the 30, and will presumably replace the remaining Hybrids over the next few weeks.

I hope everyone’s staying safe during lockdown and coping well.

Approaching the terminus at Bonaly, Enviro 400 Hybrid, number 211 (SN61 BBX) purrs through this leafy wood near Colinton - a bit like Pogles Wood, Oliver Postgate's classic tv series for children. I was sure I could hear the chucklings of Mr and Mrs Pogle while waiting for 211 here!

Lothian's excellent website specifically for this new fleet 'ecoLothianbuses.com' has many interesting features on the new hybrids and notably Service 10.

*Free on-board Wi-Fi will help you start work early, or plan your onward trip before you alight.

*Our Hybrids will also have next stop announcements, letting you know in good time when your stop is coming up.

*The route 10 runs past all kinds of interesting attractions and places, so why not be different and have a day out on the number 10?

It's nice on the upper saloon when a friendly girl gives service information announcements at each stop along the route. This is a whole new concept for Edinburgh and the voice is gentle and sufficiently brief, Scottish in tone and not intruding for those passengers who know the route already. I have been rather wondering what her name is and what she might look like.

Imagine the dream voice for the dream journey? Any suggestions will be welcome in the comments box below please....over to you!

Service 49 is taking the eye of the passer-by very much following its return

to double decker stock as part of Lothian's changes this month and here's

the latest repainted Dennis Trident / Plaxton President number 680 (SN04

ACX), seen at Sleigh Drive near to Meadowbank and note the new digital LED

destination screen which has recently been applied to around twenty five of

the high 600 Tridents., fitted by McKenna.

It's always been the custom for Lothian's buses to be fitted with roller

blinds, and in recent years these operate mechanically through a programmer

within the cab. Only Lothian and London maintain this tradition with most

other companies in Britain now using digital LED screens.

Lothian, and its predecessor names ECT and LRT, has always experimented with

new types of screen - the fonts, sizes and type-set lettering and this

measure, being introduced on the Dennis Trident double deckers, will make

clearer the location and service number detail, especially for the visually

impaired.

With the Tridents being the oldest buses in the fleet the blinds were

becoming dirty and sometimes a little difficult to identify. The brighter

LED ident is more efficient, more quick in changing at termini and where

intermediate changes are required. Roller blinds on the older buses very

often become faulty, slip or jam, thus creating confusion for passengers.

Dennis Trident, Plaxton President number 693 (SN04 SEG) is seen in front of the monument to Sir Walter Scott and I braved the tumbling rain to capture this Service 15 showing off its brightly lit, new digital screen - a feature being rolled out on many of Lothian's Trident vehicles.

At what was once the Eastern General Hospital Service 12 terminates at this rather neglected and dreary place. At one time there was a railway bridge here, carrying a North British branch (off the main North British South Leith goods line) which connected to the Caledonian South Leith Dock branch at Seafield Junction which was to the right of the picture here.

The Caledonian South Leith Dock branch was a phenomenal piece of engineering, leaving the Caledonian North Leith branch just west of Newhaven and running at high level over Leith Walk, then over the Capitol cinema and Easter Road, then behind St. Clair Street and under Lochend and Restalrig Roads before curving round to Leith South, passing over Seafield Place. The Caledonian were determined to get to the main part of Leith Docks somehow!

None of these lines ever had a passenger service and the steps in this picture were only for access to the railway line. The Caledonian branch was originally built as double track and platforms were built in some places but never used. It was singled after only a few years. The tram services in Leith were much more convenient.

The Caledonian South Leith Goods station was renamed Leith East in 1952 and the Eastern General Hospital was originally Leith Poor House but came into its own after the founding of the NHS in 1948 when it was the general hospital for the eastern side of Edinburgh

I am grateful to Frank Mitchell for this information

Volvo B9TL, Wright Eclipse Gemini number 846 (SN57 DDX) works more or less all the time these days on Service 12 / X12 and is usually the one decker among Dennis Darts on route between Ratho, Gyle and here at Seafield.

846 was the first double decker to test out a frontal LED screen in modern times and three years later is still the only Gemini with a front screen arrangement like this.
