On 23 February 2024 Professor Lusina Ho (University of Hong Kong) delivered the 2024 Cambridge Freshfields Lecture entitled "Re-imagining the Express Trust".
The Cambridge Freshfields Lecture is an annual address delivered by a guest of the Cambridge Private Law Centre, and the event is sponsored by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

9th Sept: Fabulous weather today - shame I had to spend the whole time in a conference....but some good science was discussed! This is the Calman Lecture Theatre in Durham and today it was looking rather impressive against the blue sky. At night though, this building really does dance around with multicoloured lights beaming out from the fake, coloured windows. A very strange design!

Description: Educator and founder of the Palmer Memorial Institute in Sedalia, North Carolina, Charlotte Eugenia Hawkins Brown was active in the National Council of Negro Women, the N.C. Teachers Association, etc., and was the first black woman to serve on the national board of the YWCA. She lectured and wrote about black women, education, and race relations.
