She can get going all by herself now. She was really determined to get the hang of it. Probably had something to do with Scott offering to buy her a new bike once she learns to ride.

We took Tabby's training wheels off (it was like she was riding a quadri-cycle) and gave it a go tonight. She did it! Was super excited and proud of herself and so happy.

My grandson got his first bicycle for Christmas. Yesterday was the first time he got a chance to ride it outside. He has been trying to ride it through the house which of course doesn't really work. He finally managed a solo ride; the expression tells it all. Oh, to be a kid again.

Interestingly, both our parents live right at the end of their street's cul-de-sac, which is so so nice for just going outside and playing... or learning to ride a bike.

The Informer isn't so sure about the whole no training wheels idea.

Hanoians that have young families like to take their tykes with their trikes, and let them learn to ride in front of colossal statues of great men. We saw this at the Lenin Statue as well. By the way, one hang over of French Colonialism is you're not allow on the grass.
