I had the privilege of being able to stand on the sidelines and take pictures of the Lee County HS girl's soccer team (on which my daughter is the assistant coach). Communication again. Either a "man on!" or "through ball!" should have been given to help her. As it was, the defender closed and the open player on the ball carrier's left did not get the ball.
As always, thanks for your views, comments and faves!
The girls are learning about batteries. In this activity, we've set up a circuit with a light bulb, battery, and switch. When the paper clip touches both of the metal brads on the paper, the light will go on. When the paper clip doesn't touch one of the brads, the light bulb goes off.

Comin down is the hardest thing"
(Not completely appropriate, but it's what came to mind :-)
Alternate title: "Look, no training wheels!"

There is no such thing as a job for life anymore. It is thought that the average school leaver will have between 3 and 5 careers over the course of their working life. It makes sense to be able to retrain as quickly and as easily as possible.
There will be jobs & businesses in the future, that do not currently exist. Those who adapt quickest will be the winners.

1 AD it would take until 1500 for the amount of knowledge available to double. It doubled again by 1750 and then 1900. The next doubling of knowledge took a mere 50 years then 10 years and 7 years and finally six years.
This was up until 1973 when there was 128 times more knowledge than in 1 AD according to George Anderia who measured this growth.

Everyone has sat through a less-than-engaging presentation by someone in their company. All too often it consists of a PowerPoint presentation packed with way too much information and delivered without enthusiasm. By contrast, there have been 35 years of incredible TED Talks, and if you take some time to watch a bunch of those, you’ll discover all kinds of ways to improve presentations at your company.
