Here is a shot self-portrait of me going down the "Leap of Faith" waterslide at the Bahamas resort in Atlantis. This actually isn't a self-portrait and I should be giving credit to my mom who took the photo. And yes, that is a shark in the foreground, but don't worry the sharks can't actually make it into the swimming area of the ride. Actually, that isn't quite true either...

The Border Collie is a working and herding dog breed developed in the English-Scottish border region for herding livestock, especially sheep. It was specifically bred for intelligence and obedience.

Ranked number one in Stanley Coren's The Intelligence of Dogs and typically extremely energetic, acrobatic, smart and athletic, they frequently compete with great success in dog sports, in addition to their success in sheepdog trials and are often cited as the most intelligent of all dogs. In January 2011, a Border Collie was reported to have learned 1,022 words and acts consequently to human citation of those words.

New addition!! I’ve been having fun with the Canon 20D but when I found a 50D body that was cheap but wouldn’t turn on, figured it was worth a shot.

Hooked up the grip from the 20D that was charged up, still nothing.

Tested another CF card and it came alive!!

Reformatted the one it had, works like new!

Now to eventually find a canon lens 😂

I only have the two lensbaby lenses and the Olympus adapter (only good within so many feet).

Debating on letting the Lensbaby composer go so I can find a prime lens.

I went parasailing a few weeks ago at Torreypines Gliderpoint in San Diego. It was a tandem flight that lasted about 30 minutes and was wonderful. After a short briefing you step off the 300 foot cliffs over Black's Beach and let the wind carry you over the homes of millionaires then farther south to Scripps Pier then you turn north to fly over the surfers, swimmers, nudists and then the golfers at Torrey Pines. Even in summer the off shore breezes are cool so wear warm clothing and enjoy the ride. If your lucky you might even wave to a dolphin or whale down below. You land right back where you started.

the reason I put faith in the title was because these guys don't really know the actual depth in some parts, they just take the plunge!

Frisbee fun at the beach is one of our favorite family activites in southern California. Running up and down in the sand as the sun sinks in Pacific makes for a perfect end of the day.

One of the best sports inventions ever this little plastic disc has put millions of smiles on boys and girls of every age. Blessings to you. flic.kr/p/2gDPFV7

My friend and I like to get together occasionally and paint. We are both teaching ourselves to paint with acrylics. I am working on a series of paintings that represent my "life symbols" as I call them. This one reminds me to take leaps of faith. The barnacle goose goslings must leap from nests at astonishing heights based on the call of the parents. I must make leaps of faith based on the call of the Father.

Kyle, one of my classmates in 2005 took this of me vaulting a railing outside college. :) We developed our own film back then, in the dark room. Also got to use Twin-Lens Reflex cameras with Ilford FP4 film, for some nice portraits. I'll see about sticking some of them up on here soon.

Oh yeah, After having grown my hair a bit I suddenly decided on getting a mohawk. Spur of the moment thing. :)

So here it is. I've had a shit time lately. Stupid so called friends. Bullshit in life that's keeping me down. I'm tired of it all. Fuck letting it keep me down. I chopped of my hair and I've got a smile on my face and guess what?!? Here's #1 of 365 days! Holy shit here we go again... *fingers crossed* I'd love to really make it the whole way through this time.

There's one thing that I can't fix right now though... one of these so called friends screwed up my computer with multiple viruses and I lost my version of photoshop... I currently can't even resize my photos... any suggestions for trusted software I can download until I somehow get PS again?

The good news: even though i had to erase my whole harddrive I was able to save all my photos and music! Whoo!

The first step will be knee deep if I stay,

Quantum Leap of Faith.

Kiss you in the garden, in the moonlight, let it be.

Tiptoe from your pillow, to the shadow of a willow tree.

Tiptoe through the evening tulip path.. with me.

No spikes, no socks, no hesitation. This long jumper at the Lochearnhead Highland Games went airborne with nothing but grit, grace, and bare soles. His landing may be soft, but the commitment is solid.

Take the risk. Get your feet wet. And you will see the brave new world.

Remembering my days in the army. I took this picture during my Basic parachute course....Static line jump from an altitude of 2500 ft, using Chinese Type 4 parachutes from an AN 32 transport aircraft.

December 1996, Monohorpur Drop zone Jessore, Bangladesh

I volunteered as a parachutist, fully realizing the hazards of my chosen service and by my actions will always uphold the prestige, honor and high esprit-de-corps of the only volunteer branch of the Army.

I realize that a parachutist is not merely a soldier who arrives by parachute to fight, but is an elite shock trooper and that his country expects him to march farther and faster, to fight harder, to be more self-reliant, and to soldier better than any other soldier. Parachutists of all allied armies belong to this great brotherhood.

I shall never fail my fellow comrades by shirking any duty or training, but will always keep myself mentally and physically fit and shoulder my full share of the task, whatever it may be.

I shall always accord my superiors fullest loyalty, and I will always bear in mind the sacred trust I have in the lives of the men I will lead into battle.

I shall show other soldiers by my military courtesy to my superior officers and noncommissioned officers, by my neatness of dress, by my care of my weapons and equipment, that I am a picked and well-trained soldier.

I shall endeavor always by my soldierly appearance, military bearing and behavior, to reflect the high standards of training and morale of parachute troops.

I shall respect the abilities of my enemies, I will fight fairly and with all my might. Surrender is not in my creed.

I shall display a higher degree of initiative than is required of the other troops and will fight on to my objective and mission, though I be the lone survivor.

I shall prove my ability as a fighting man against the enemy on the field of battle not by quarreling with my comrades in arms or by bragging about my deeds, thus needlessly arousing jealousy and resentment against parachute troops.

I shall always realize that battles are won by an Army fighting as a team, that I fight and blaze the path into battle for others to follow and to carry the battle on.

I belong to the finest fighting unit in the Army. By my appearance, actions, and battlefield deeds alone, I speak for my fighting ability. I will strive to uphold the honor and prestige of my outfit, making my country proud of me and the unit to which I belong - 1st Commando Battalion .

Sometimes life will throw us curve balls. When it does, we must be brave.... and take that leap of faith that things will turn out okay ♥

The launch tower stands at the end of Bournemouth Pier at a height of 60ft (approx 18 metres), towering over the sea below. From here you take a leap of faith and step off to experience an exhilarating 820ft (250 metres) ‘zip surf’ over the waves.

Plus the Bournemouth Zip Wire is dual line meaning you can ‘race’ friends!

Kendra Kassebaum, Raul Esparza and Brooke Shields star in the new musical "Leap of Faith" which premiered in Los Angeles on September 11. Yes, it was based on the 1992 movie which starred Steve Martin and Debra Winger.

Over the weekend, me and my friends went to see the play at the Ahmanson Theater in Los Angeles. At the end of show, we were lucky enough to meet some of the cast members outside the backstage.

"And we live by the side of the road,

On the side of a hill as the valleys explode,

Dislocated, suffocated

The land grows weary of its own

Oh, oh - on borderland we run

And still we run - we run and don't look back

I'll be there - I'll be there

Tonight, tonight"

Well, i think it is time you learned a little sumtin sumtin about my best friend in the whole world, allie. Known eachother since day one, literally. We were video chatting eachother in the womb. I've been through so much with her and she's the first person i call if something crazy happens. We always manage to question our sanity when we are with eachother. We never care about how crazy we are in public. Always gives everything 100% and has supported my photography the day i picked up a camera. And I'd like to thank her for that. She would jump off of a bridge if i thought it would be a cool picture. She would do anything for anyone and always manages to brighten my day. She is an amazing dancer, friend and sister. i love her and pray to god that we are bEsTiEs FoReVeR.<3
