Two old growth sugar maples growing into each other about 30 feet off the ground, the two have fused into one stem then seperate back into two seperate crowns (tho you can't see the top of the right hand stem)... two become one in an intimate treehugging embrace only time can produce... soulmates at long last :)
What a cool story these two old mountainside trees share!!
Two images of London for the price of one today!! This was taken during our extended 'detour' whilst trying to find the 'Battleship Building' during the open house event - only to find ourselves back at the same point as the building was tucked away to the side of these offices.
I thought this looked quite effective as a square crop with extra warm tones.

The old shack appears to need something to lean on. Something to just rest upon. It is sometimes like that with family too. I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Yes, after you decapitate a chicken, it will sometimes run around. And I am the proof of that ;-) My Mother and Father are still together after 57 years of marriage and Mom still laughs at Dad's dumb jokes and Dad, well, Dad is Dad. Anyway, under the pretense of wanting to get home repairs done, they called me over. What we are really doing is talking. Sharing compliments and displaying angst against one another about things of the past and present. I get to say very little while accomplishing the 'chores' around the farm. I have been a little bit like a post that the above pictured shack could lean on. And I love it! I hope that you also have someone to lean on :)
BTW, the image above is a HDR Blend of 3 different tonemapped images, and then desaturated. I picked the black point right inside the window and the white point being a 'blown out' cloud, but to be honest I am still not happy with the tonal range. What do you think?
NS 35G leans into the super-elevated curve at Otis, Indiana behind a pair of Catfish. The screaming light almost makes Norfolk Southern look good. Almost.
