She's twelve years old. Can you believe it? I've found the perfect treat and now Daisy is no longer camera-shy! She has also lost some weight and she's looking good!

[47/366] Our Daily Challenge - Leaning
Sometimes in our lives
We all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
Till I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Brook Run: a state run mental hospital that closed in 1997. Brooke Run served people with severe or profound mental retardation.
shot in a bathroom with tea light candles behind her on the edge of the tub along with a basic household halogen lamp leaning against the tub just the left of her.... and of course a little post processing to add the grunge effect.
Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you don't let show
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
If there is a load you have to bear
That you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load
If you just call me
So just call on me brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'd understand
We all need somebody to lean on
Lean on me when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
Till I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Lean on me...

BEHIND THE SCENE. (a la I Travel East)...It has been more than 20 years since I visited the railroad near our home in the province. The railroad was one our playgrounds where we waited for trains to pass by and had crown caps pressed by the metal wheels. On mornings, we always looked forward to the sunrise and run to this spot. We stared at the rising sun until our eyes ached and teary and marveled at the visions of light circles after.
So last December 27, I brought my son and my nephew for a photowalk to see what has happened to our "playground". The tracks were gone. The ricefields on both sides were now replaced by houses and shanties and are now called "home along the riles."
The only remembrance that was left was the metal bridge ahead, and the sun that shone on our faces...and the memories of childhood that will never be gone.
Kason: Pop your leg...
Katie: What??
Kason: Quick! Pop your leg!
Katie: ..ok..!
Kason: ...Oh noo, I'm falling over!..

Ahh
Very strange moment to be captured, but it looks fun anyway.

While running down the ridges to get to our runs, I decided to bust out the camera and take some shots while cruising along. I'm surprised my aim was actually this good -- totally shot "from the hip".
They're more than roommates. They're good friends.
Aside from that AmanGonz and Kry are wonderful friends to me.
I was practically their third roommate during the first semester of school and I can't thank them enough for being so welcoming.
I love these young ladies to death.

Luke came to Finland to build some concrete skateparks. He also skates pretty damn good! We took him and Brent Eftoda to this rough DIY barrierspot in the middle of nowhere and here's little something that happened. Good times!
Nikon D700 & Zenitar 16mm fisheye. My radiotriggers are unfortunately broken now so I had only my cord and one SB800 to use this time.
