This little guy was found crossing a path at the end of a walk in Ranomafana National Park in Madagascar.
Every so often he'd stop to check the coast was clear before moving on. He stopped on this curled leaf for a good 10 minutes allowing quite a nice composition.
We watched to make sure he made it to the safety of thick jungle foliage on the other side of the path before walking on.
I went out for a winter walk this afternoon to try and work out how to use the new macro extension tubes. It was really too cold and breazy to get much, however, I did find this nice leaf in amongst the grass on the path.
Beautiful small leaf with red stripes. This plant was in the Butterfly Garden at Hershey, PA. Don't know the name of the plant..
Macro Mondays: #Symmetry
Dutchmen Pipe Leaf vine wrapped around the barbed wire in the late evening bokeh as the sun went down through the trees and the light shining in .I like the way the vine wraps around the barbed wire mingling together and I enjoy the spider webs that are not seen until you look close, My sister gave me this Dutchmen pipe vine many years ago

I started my avocado plant from scratch several years ago and it is now taller than I am. But it hasn't been doing well this winter, perhaps because I don't have a very green thumb. Only after it started losing its leaves did I realize it needed a larger pot and fresh soil. I hope it recovers.
Even leaves need to stay in shape so when I saw this leaf doing it's daily exercise - a stiff round of 50 pull-ups (very impressive!) - I just had to get a shot.
Happy Bokeh Wednesday!
