A little Hedgehog (erinaceinae) which survived the exceptionally mild winter.
Please spare a thought for our little prickly friends, especially when it's hot and dry. I put out some water and cat biscuits every night which they love. I have quite a few coming now, lots of little ones mainly. Like much of wildlife they are becoming less common and in some places have become virtually non-existent.
This leaf from a tree in the East,
Has been given to my garden.
It reveals a certain secret,
Which pleases me and thoughtful people.
Does it represent One living creature
Which has divided itself?
Or are these Two, which have decided,
That they should be as One?
To reply to such a Question,
I found the right answer:
Do you notice in my songs and verses
That I am One and Two?
(Johann Wolfgang von Goethe)
Goethe sent Marianne von Willemer a Ginkgo-leaf and on September 15, 1815 on the Gerbermühle in Frankfurt (Germany) he read his draft of the poem to her and friends.
On September 23, 1815 he saw Marianne for the last time

Although coca leaf chewing is common only among the indigenous populations, the consumption of coca tea (Mate de coca) is common among all sectors of society in the Andean countries, especially due to their high elevations from sea level, and is widely held to be beneficial to health, mood, and energy. Coca leaf is sold packaged into teabags in most grocery stores in the region, and establishments that cater to tourists generally feature coca tea.

"ROSEATE A LEAF is cut by its primary line ran the world's a spine inducing curling rosette of words for time and the ruffling of its flesh sallow column blushing late in its life clutch clef caulicle, curled as if suspended all the merelys light handblossomed on the wall was tickled and then swept blank by the filtering leaves before it returned musical without rest quails stutter out from leaves ravaged by insects from the bottom that are basic the mortal mortar poured into each wreath that are an elemental table of their own a touch of turned ground and its envious dead grass."
--George Angel from his new book of poems, On the Voice.

When Vanilla Leaf starts to finish for the year they get very thin and translucent with a nice vein structure, so I placed some colored leaves as a base with vanilla leaf on top. This was a test to try the 240 mp pixelshift with a 1 x 4 focus stacked panorama but I didn't have enough ram to stack them so they had to be down sized then there was some leaf curling causing movement so that had to be cropped out but I still ended up with enough to make a 2' x 5' print.
Workflow wise using the A7rIV pixelshift I shoot the raws then assemble them in Sony Imaging Edge Desktop Viewer into .arq files then I create a profile in Rawtherapee then using the Rawtherapee-cli I convert the files to tiff, then these are stacked in Zerene Stacker, and the finished picture is edited in Photoshop.
