Nando's. The only, repeat ONLY, good thing about the new shopping centre in Shepherd's Bush, PRd to death as 'Westfield'. I refuse to subjugate myself to a jumped up little Australian property developer by referring to this blight on the landscape by that name. This whole thing should be demolished and a big new leisure centre should be built instead. Or maybe just one huge Nando's instead.
Shame on all the zombie-like media outlets which allowed themselves to be used to aid the promotion of this disgrace to humankind. Apart from the Nando's.

In 2012, the NHS plan to downgrade four London hospitals by the closure of their A&E Departments, including that of Charing Cross Hospital. Generally (as is also the case in Ireland) closure of a hospital’s A&E department could be a prelude to its total closure in the future.
Can anyone please confirm this badge actually relates to the current ‘Save Charing Cross Hospital’ campaign (2012)?

Thanks to a leaked email and the power of Twitter the scores of Conservative Party delegates who turned up at Hammersmith Town Hall today for a secret London Conservative Party coference had to run the gauntlet of a small-but-loud picket of protesters who were angry at the severe local funding cuts already implemented by the extreme right-wing Conservative council.
The cuts are already blighting people's lives in the borough, with much, much more to come as the local Tories wield their ideological axes which only ever seem to wound the poorest families.
This conference was also intended to serve as a platform for London Mayor Boris Johnson to launch his re-election campaign. Johnson, however, sneaked in by a side door to avoid having to listen to people's complaints and, like a sneaky thief in the night, when his speech inside had finished he sneaked out the back door on his bicycle, refusing to pose for a single photograph.

A. Cookes, Shepherds Bush has been there since 1934.
Recently, the local council has granted outline planning permission to transform these shops and Shepherds Bush Market to over 200 flats.

Food wise, the combination of eels with the pie and mash was not bad. Went for the stewed eels rather than jellied. Still have yet to try the jellied type but have no inclination to! That aside, the liquor gravy was thicky and reminiscent of school dinners. Filled the void on a cold winters Monday.

The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (previously The Royal Ballet School, Colet House), 153- 155 Talgarth Road, London, W14 was designed by Fairfax Blomfield Wade-Palmer and completed in 1885. The school was originally designed as an art studio and has been a workplace of many artists, notably Sir Frank Brangwyn and Sir Edward Burne-Jones. The studios were converted to a ballet school in the 1930s.
The school is listed locally as a building of merit and is located in the 'Barons court' conservation area.
