Dan gave me this lava lamp back in 2001. It's traveled across the state and back, and has moved several times. I'm so glad that it still works. <3

Another gallery of images taken showing the beautiful lava lamps designed by Ravi Shah of Auras Glow. These amazing lava lamps work on just a mere tealight and start up in minutes. These images show the unboxing, Coral Reef & Raindance and Dragon's Fire and the beautiful sunny Sunsplash. I really love the tags that come with these impressive lamps.
Description: Photograph light sources: Flames, stars, all types of man-made lighting, etc. Difficulty: Light source must be actively lighting the photo and must be included in the image (not a reflection, etc).
We bought our son a lava lamp for his 13th birthday... as you can see, I'm thoroughly enjoying it too!!
Self-portrait taken with exposure of 10 seconds @ f/20, I don't own a tri-pod so the camera was placed on my coffee table and the lens supported by a book. The light is supplied by a lava lamp to my right and a candle between my feet. I think it looks like a Wham! promo shoot.
This was meant to become an organic extraction, but didnt quite work out. In the beaker there is a mixture of water, acetonitrile, dichloromethane, a salt, and some product. I must have got the densities exactly wrong.
Taken on my phone.
Z is for Zoned Out...because I spent like, an hour (without drugs, promise) staring at this thing.
I AM FINALLY FINISHED WITH THE ALPHABET PROJECT.

I watched my two year old granddaughter last night and she was more than happy to pose for me. She calls the lava lamp "purple light."
