Inside the strange and wonderful world of the Lava Lamp.

My car was totaled a couple weeks ago and I still haven't found a replacement car so I have been stranded to my apartment. I decided to find my old lava lamp I had in the closet and take some pictures.

The theme this past week for the MacroMondays group was "The Seventies" which had me pulling out items we have not used or played with in a while. And this fits the Our Daily Challenge of "All Lit Up"

One of these items was my sons' Lava Lamp. Kinda makes you feel all groovy, eh?

Didn't have much time to set anything up as I had to spend most of the evening writing a speech for a Burns' supper.

So this is a lava lamp in front of a standard dark-field illumination setup, with the lamp lighting its lava.
