This post is an addition to my previous one, and it's meant to be helpful to other users of xray films for in-camera negatives.

Check the previous post for detailed notes in the exposure/processing used to obtain the data used to produce the family of curves on the bottom. On top are the published data from Fuji for comparison.

The only difference between this family of curves and the previous one, is the developer dilution.

The family of curves in my previous post resulted from processing the films in 1000ml of distilled water containing 20ml of Adox RO9 concentrate (1+50).

The family of curves on the bottom here shows the densities produced when the same test was conducted, using 10ml of Adox RO9 concentrate (1+100).

The NYC Easter Parade is a great opportunity to do portraits of fabulously dressed people in the street.

Earlier today, sporting a handheld 1930's Graflex RB large format camera and a bunch of film holders I enjoyed myself and made some new friends...

Here's some of the results, just out of the darkroom….

Happy Easter to all !!

Novel take on a large format bellows camera. Lincoln Steampunk Weekend, 2022 - Lincoln Cathedral doorway,

These are fantastic cameras, I used one to take most of the 1,000 or so pictures in my two-volume set of Books, GUNMAKERS OF ILLINOIS, 1683-1900. That 4" X 5" negative allows for huge enlargements, with no loss of detail. The down side? Very expensive to feed, And difficult to find anyone to process the film, even twenty years ago.

This is a scan of the front cover of "The Pacemaker Speed Graphic" booklet, announcing the arrival of the "Pacemaker Speed Graphic" and "Pacemaker Crown Graphic" cameras. Both cameras were large format 4x5 "press cameras" introduced by the "Graflex" in 1947.

Besides boasting the "LIGHTNESS, STRENGHT AND DURABILITY" of the Pacemaker series, the booklet also provides details of accessories that would have been available from Graflex. Such as: different lenses (Wide angle/wide field, and telephoto), shutters ("Supermatic" and "GRAPHEX"), film receptacles/film holders, an enlarger (the "GRAFLARGER"), carrying cases, and flashbulbs (aka "GRAFLIGHTS")

An interesting thing to note about the "Crown Graphic", is that is was the first Graflex camera produced without a focal plane shutter. It should also be noted that despite being called the "Speed Graphic", it was in fact a rather slow camera to use. Between exposures the photographer was required to change the sheet film, focus the camera, cock the shutter, and then fire the shutter. However, film holders were available that could hold up to 12 sheets; allowing the photographer to take pictures more quickly.

I found this booklet in a box full of old "Good Housekeeping" magazines from the 1950's and 60s. Sometimes I enjoy looking through old photography booklets, manuals and magazines. They can provide alot of information on a particular model of camera, including the features and accessories available.
