Rovingian Council - Rovingian Council - Exploring the Universal Language of Symbols and Forms by Daniel Arrhakis (2026)

Exploring the Universal Language of Symbols and Forms (I)

Introduction to the Rovingian Quest: The Language of Silence

Rovingian nomadic monks are known for their dedication to the quest for sacred symbols and geometries, transcending the boundaries of traditional ritualistic patterns. For these monks, the spiritual world does not express itself through alphabetic languages, whether spoken or written. Instead, they believe that spiritual communication manifests itself through a visual language composed of geometric forms and patterns that are incorporated into the very structure of Nature and the Universe.

The Language of Silence

By rejecting spoken languages, Rovingians aim to eliminate cultural and mental barriers, seeking a direct and intuitive connection with the cosmos. This connection is achieved through the study and contemplation of sacred geometries, symbols, and ritualistic patterns. Thus, they pave the way for silent communication, a truly profound visual language that allows for a dialogue with the universe without the limitations of words.

The Visual Language: While words vary and disappear over time, the ways in which the triangle or spiral maintains mathematical meaning anywhere in the universe highlight its universal and timeless value.

The Geometric Source Code of the Universe

Rovingians believe that the universe is governed by a fundamental geometric code. Understanding this code allows one to unravel the hidden order of reality. For them, studying sacred geometry is a way to reconnect with the cosmos, treating nature as a true living temple, and the universe as a symbolic book, open to interpretation.

The Living Temple: For the monks, the world does not contain temples; the world is the temple itself. Natural elements, such as a nautilus shell or a quartz crystal, are seen as sacred scriptures. For example, the quartz crystal is not just a mineral, but a geometric lesson on order, clarity, and repetition.

Explorando a Linguagem Universal dos Símbolos e Formas (I)

Introdução à Busca Rovingiana: A Linguagem do Silêncio

A Linguagem do Silêncio

O Código-Fonte Geométrico do Universo

These colorful bracelets on display outside of a shop caught my attention the other day. The owner said that his young niece made them as a fundraiser.

Aruba, a small island in the Dutch Caribbean off the coast of Venezuela, has a dry climate, sunny beaches and gentle waves. Constant winds produce a cool breeze and tilt trees (like the famous divi-divi) to the southwest. The European influence appears in the architecture, characterized by the Dutch gables painted in tropical pastel tones. This is also evident in the coexistence of the local language, Papiamento, with English, Dutch and Spanish. The country does not have fresh water but it has desalinated water of excellent quality and you can safely drink tap water. The small country is a major producer and exporter of aloe vera (aloe vera) and is strong in the financial and fishing sectors, in addition to logistical services in the oil sector. It is a small island with a lot of sun and wind all the time, which favors the country's main economic activity, tourism. Its area is 179 km2 (69.1 mi2) and is densely populated by approximately 110,000 inhabitants (2020 Census) and has a per capita income of just over US$25,000 p.a. The country's capital is Oranjestad.

I understand everyone has multiple tasks to cope with while they are online - kids / spouse interrupting, work, IMs from different corners of the world, and so on. That's life, isn't it?

I particularly adore those who care to give me undivided attention when they can. That makes me feel important and loved.

I try to return the favour too if possible. Or, at least, I'll let them know if I am multitasking.

Shall we pamper our special someone with some quality time? :)

:::::::::::::::::For those who care to know:::::::::::::::::::

I’m fully aware how pictures may impact us the way the creator had not expected. An erotic picture can be captured while things are getting hot. However, it is not always the case in SL Photography. So..

Stay calm and communicate :)

I don’t do intimate photos much unless it's to illustrate some animations on the furniture. In that case, I would credit those who are generous with their time. But if I want to, for art's sake, I usually opt for my male alt to avoid people making up stories, and causing drama to people I care about.

If time fits, I might do photos with others too. Those people are special to me in different ways, and more importantly, they KNOW me. They care how we see each other more than people we don't know at all. So, I decided not to mention their names, specially in this collection. I don't owe you an explanation for my relationship with them either. :)

Just in case you forget about it - Bento heads can't ensure we all look uniquely. If you believe that you see your special someone in the picture, CONSULT him first.

Afterall, it’s the idea and visuals I would like you to focus on, not the people.

Thanks for your support :) , enjoy!

We should have known that the John Brothers Piano Company was going to be playing in the gallery at Local Language when we saw this piano. But it was the horn that lead us back after we circled the block.

PREFACE

"SHADHINOTA is My Cause for the 40th Celebration of BANGLADESH Independence. The land, the mighty rivers and the natural beauty makes Bangladesh a land of unparalleled splendor and magnificence. Bangladesh was liberated after a prolonged war of Independence the declaration of which was given on 26th MARCH 1971. One of the worst genocides Genocide in history took place at the behest of an autocratic regime in the name of Political stability spearheaded by the then Pakistan President Yahya Khan. After 9 months of Liberation war and the sacrifice of 3 million lives Victory came. In addition to the loss of lives countless others were rendered homeless, the infrastructure including roads and bridges and factories lay in ruins. The people of Bangladesh have shown time and again how resilient they are. After each and every disaster, natural or man-made the people have again stood up and started all over again from scratch.

My Effort here is to pay tribute to the valiant sons of the soil and the ‘die hard’ attitude of a people who can still smile in the face of adversity however great it may be. I plan to make a collage of images that represent the lives of the people of Bangladesh. I encourage you to upload a photo each day till I have a total of 40 images for the Cause SHADHINOTA in the group Frame BANGLADESH"

To be Continued till 26th March 2011

I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I work and live, and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. I pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.

On a rainy, misty afternoon, my youngest fella, Rylan and I decided to head out to test some new photo gear we had purchased. The conditions were not ideal, but with the greatly appreciated bout of rain that was falling, the opportunity was there to capture some decent water flow!

I had heard of a place named Water Nymph Dell, which seemed quite photogenic so off we went in search of water Nymphs!!

There are two entry points to the Dell, we choose the Glenview Rd Wentworth Falls entry to the north. Heading down took us around 20-25 minutes on a steep decline.

It’s a beautiful spot with a lovely rainforest feel. If you want to see the Dell at it’s finest, one needs to visit after heavy rain and you’ll see the water flowing at its best. The rocks here are all covered in beautiful moss, and the stream weaves in interesting twists and turns amongst tree-roots and fallen trunks.

The other waterfall we shot was the ever popular Empress Falls, at Wentworth Falls, starting at the Conservation Hut. This was to be my first time in actually photographing this picturesque bundle of tumbling turbulence. Empress was quite full and with mist and rain greeting us, made for some challenging captures.

Oranjestad is the capital and largest city of Aruba. Oranjestad is located on the southern coast near the western end of the island country. In the local language, Papiamento, Oranjestad is often referred to simply as "Playa". As of 2015, the population of the capital was around 35,000.

The town was built around Fort Zoutman shortly after it was built in 1796. Initially, the town had no official name, being known only as the town on the Bay of Horses (Paardenbaai in Dutch), a place from which native-bred[citation needed] horses were raised and exported to neighboring Curaçao. The town has ever since been the capital city of the island.

The city is named after the first King William I of the Netherlands. The name was conferred on the city in the 1820s when interest in Aruba increased due to the discovery of (alluvial) gold deposits.

Air Aruba once had its headquarters in Oranjestad. Air Aruba suspended its operations on October 23, 2000.

Tiara Air has had its head office in Oranjestad since 2006, except between 2014 and 2016 when the company suspended services due to the Venezuelan Airline Crisis.

Aruba is an island and a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the southern Caribbean Sea, located about 1,600 kilometres (990 mi) west of the main part of the Lesser Antilles and 29 kilometres (18 mi)[5] north of the coast of Venezuela. It measures 32 kilometres (20 mi) long from its northwestern to its southeastern end and 10 kilometres (6 mi) across at its widest point. Together with Bonaire and Curaçao, Aruba forms a group referred to as the ABC islands. Collectively, Aruba and the other Dutch islands in the Caribbean are often called the Dutch Caribbean.

Aruba is one of the four countries that form the Kingdom of the Netherlands, along with the Netherlands, Curaçao, and Saint Maarten; the citizens of these countries are all Dutch nationals. Aruba has no administrative subdivisions, but, for census purposes, is divided into eight regions. Its capital is Oranjestad.

Unlike much of the Caribbean region, Aruba has a dry climate and an arid, cactus-strewn landscape. This climate has helped tourism as visitors to the island can reliably expect warm, sunny weather. It has a land area of 179 km2 (69.1 sq mi) and is densely populated, with a total of 102,484 inhabitants at the 2010 Census. Current estimates of the population place it at 116,600 (July 2018 est.) It island lies outside Hurricane Alley.

Inspired by the movie Arrival.

The premise of Arrival concludes that your language determines how you're able to perceive the world and what your psychological limitations are; the more complex your language, the more you're able to understand about the complexity of reality.

The movie pushes the concept so far as to say that learning an advanced alien language could allow you to see moments outside of time.

This image represents how someone with this type of advanced language would see a woman climbing a wall; all moments would be visibly occurring simultaneously.

This fishmonger uses some kind of sign language to communicate with his colleagues across the aisle.

I asked to the driver of my guesthouse to drive me in the surrounding countryside early in the morning. It was not harvest season but some ricefields are not the same kind and could be harvested earlier like this one. In such situation it's nice to have a guide who could ask people if they don't mide I take picture dureing maybe 20 minutes. My Khmer language skills were very limited so eventhough I could ask myself, a guide is very helpfull to explain people what is my goal and the way I am allowed to act. Usually I prefer to be alone but sometimes I like to change my way.
