We have been searching for a new shade for this large circular base for ages. The trip to the store was actually to buy something else, but we liked the shade. Once fitted and lit at home it looked good, and cast curving shadows, and giving me another topic for this week's challenge.
Here's the second location for a Lampshade 2018 group photo. We like places where no one can come up behind us!!
This isn't actually Christmas related at all, but after years of a pink striped lamp hanging over the window area, we switched to this absolutely delightful one and it makes me smile all sunshine and puppies when I see it.
I used an old pillowcase that had a stain on it, cut the fabric accordingly, and used a glue gun to attach it to the frame of the lampshade. I added some teal leather cord I had laying around from a craft project to finish it off.

I made the round fabric lampshade and the base. I used a scroll saw to make the cats and my husband showed me how to make the oval base.
Jennifer and I signed one of the lampshades in the Molokai Bar at the Mai-Kai Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
I bought this lovely Koi fish lampshade after seeing one similar in Dan and Sandi's house, I love it for the beautiful Koi painting round it.
