Lampshade - Our Daily Challenge

One of a pair of lamps purchased many years ago at what was called the "Baltimore Winter Market." Wonderful artisans still come to this amazing market.

Just inside the door of Chree and Michael's new house in Brighton. It caught my eye as it sets off the table beautifully. 9th April.

I was testing to make sure the light meter was registering and pointed the camera at the lampshade, the thought it was an interesting photo!

This lampshade consists of four intersecting (Tri-) Cubes. I used the Sunken-Sonobe unit.

Just a little exploration of my bedroom lightshade. I really enjoy using my macro lens, although I'm also excited about the 100mm L lens, because it has Image Stabilization built-in, and it's nice to have a few stops of power at your fingertips, especially handheld with lower light levels.

Lampshades of all shapes and size cluster together jostling for positions. Many other works from James Plump are based on recycling or reusing things to make new lights.

Yesterday I came back from a family holiday in the North of England which was really fun despite knowing that it was around 10 degrees warmer where I live and now I've come back it's grey and rainy...

Also I spent the whole holiday on 'manual setting' on my camera which was great as it helped me to be a lot more attentive (but it also explains why a lot of the photos are quite dark)

During our stay up North, we visited a house called 'Cragside' which was interesting, and an hour before closing time we decided to go into the 'Labyrinth', and there was a chance that we could've got stuck there overnight....

Hi again! Got a to ask a tinnyyy favour. On this website could you please vote for my photo? It's the one of the snails - Scroll down. Just click vote and I could get printed in a magazine if I win! THANK YOU X

HexStar 2 is a Sonobe star with a hexagonal center. This time I combined five HexStars into a lampshade.

There is nothing in the dark that isn't there when the lights are on.
