As we do , looking out wherever we go - even if it is only a nip down to Sainsburys and just finding the odd shot or two . This one will do nicely for one shot a day 2023 and could have even been a candidate for SSC this week which has been a washout so far this week .
There have been masses of loft conversions going on lately with loads of scaffolding and huge great ladders - but , at the moment and in this cold they seem to have been put on hold and all the big ladders taken away from the scaffolding .
Talking of scaffolding , my first idea for the challenge might still be the way to go even with the scaffolding - just not in sepia as planned !!

This Ladder-tailed Nightjar was roosting on some low vegetation just above the water of a small oxbow lake in southern Peru. It sure is nice when you find such a cryptic bird sitting out in such a nice place.

Ladder 3 was parked on West Street near Vesey Street on September 11, 2001. The damage the truck sustained, as a result of the collapse of the Twin Towers destroyed the vehicle. The front cab was shorn off and the aerial ladder was partially crushed

The only ladder in the county and 1 of 3 cab over fire vehicles the agency owns. Ladder 112 is a 2008 Spartan Gladiator/Rosenbauer Raptor.
Another from my day hike round Edale and Hope Valley. This is the top of the footpath that leads down Jacob's Ladder towards Edale.
There's a reason this place is such a tourist hotspot - the landscape is just incredible. Kudos to the one hiker who stood in one place long enough to register on the negative!
It's an infra-red image made on Adox HR-50 and printed on Ilford MG-V 8x10 and scanned. Annoyingly when I was squeegeing the negatives the roll came out of the clip I hung it up with and fell on the carpet, so cleaning hairs off the neg has been fun...
1949 Dick Tracy Crime Camera. 127 Kodak Verichrome Pan, expired Feb. 1964. Developed in Legacy Pro Mic-X (clone of Kodak Microdol-X) Exposure about 1/50th of a second. Developed at 76 degrees for 20 minutes. This camera is a 127 half frame but it is made so poorly that most frames overlap badly. Nyms

Add a touch of blue to your rock garden or perennial border with the bell-shaped flowers of Jacob's Ladder. Great for naturalizing, too!
