Aerial Ladder 171 seen with Combined Platform Ladder 171. Both trucks are brand new and not in service yet.
Both rigs are built on Scania P310 6x4 chassis and come in at around 62,000lb (28 tonnes).
AL171 is equipped with a Metz L56 184ft (56m) aerial ladder platform while CPL171 is equipped with a Bronto Skylift F34 RLX 112ft (34m) articulated aerial platform.

The Ladder-backed Woodpecker is fairly common in dry brushy areas and thickets of southwestern United States (north to extreme southern Nevada and extreme southeastern Colorado), most of Mexico.
