Black Label Society performs at the River City Rockfest

I have always been a big fan of wine label design. :::loves wine tasting too::: I've been studying wine labels more than normal due to my work on Odonatia's winery, Dark Palms. I have come to the conclusion recently though that I would really like to get into the industry as a label designer someday. These are some of the ones I found really interesting because of shape, color or overall composition...

Platforms and yards used to be littered with discarded or lost wagon labels. Heres a 1974 vintage one found at Temple Meads when "Rail Express Parcels" was a major parcels force. Vehicle M31042 was a Derby built wooden bodied ex LMS bogie brake built in 1940 and withdrawn in 1978..

Within a lab upstairs we found this circuit label dated from 1972 which has survived incredibly over the years.

Label for Betty Boop Jackets. We've recently started adding large woven labels to our licensed jackets, and I absolutely love the pure indulgence of designing them. Pretty much what I say goes. "Hey, design a Baby Boop label". "OK, how about this?" "Great, send it for production" And here's the sample. Sweet.

I was surprised to see the gender designation in my raincoat. I like it better than the standard, though it's another label i resist.
