The F1.2 was stopped down to F5.6. The lens renders a film look (to me Ektachrome) without using film software emulations.

The lens used for this photograph is a current replica of the rare and expensive Leica 1966 aspherical lens, the first aspherical lens. True to the original the replica has the same lanthanum and leaded glass and is hand ground aspherical elements. This gives an accessible means to capture images with one of the best optics of the 1960s.

An oldie but goodie. The Photo Lab in downtown Schenectady, New York has been in business since at least the 1940's, and is one of a dwindling number of small, full-service photography stores in the US. This slightly disheveled store facade evokes memories of an earlier time.

"There can be beauty in getting lost. Sometimes we have to get lost to find each other and sometimes we find each other, only to get lost all over again. We can’t always control it, the thing that’s going to set you adrift. And as you stand there on your front porch staring at the life you are about to leave behind, you have to accept it’s gone, it’s lost. Just like you. All you can do now is stand very still, breathe in the moment and try to be open to wherever the wind’s going to take you next. "

I don't know why, but the Ocilloscope was on, and I had generated a sine wave with an audio generator, and yet it didn't show up in the picture. This film should have been sensitive to green. Still, this is the project I'm working on. This was a test for part of the setup. I want to create a mad scientist mini lab to use as a prop for portraits.

The negative turned out really well. The alchemy gods did smile upon my darkroom on this day.

Doctor Racine and her team are the world's leading experts in non-terrestrial technology and xenobiology.

Commenting on her rather unorthodox approach to research, which has been criticised by other teams working in this field, the doctor observed: "We just focus on the practical applications and let the boys worry about the ethics."

Fascinating high neck, rear-zip lab technician dress.

I don’t normally place much belief in dreams, but this time it was so powerful I actually got out of bed to start working on it before I forgot. I was “told” that I had to create several images that are black and white (not monochrome) with the emphasis on white, framed, contain people, and a bit of color. Oh yeah, the titles had to start with L, M, F, B, Q, or A (that’s the order I was given). After a couple of days, this collection is what I came up with. I also threw in a couple starting with S and T just for shits and giggles.

The Polaroid Lab is now available through the Polaroid Originals website, and selected retail businesses.

I am looking forward to reading your thoughts and seeing your images created with this interesting instant film tool. :)
