The completed 550 piece jigsaw puzzle "Lab Family," from the lovely painting by Linda Picken, and manufactured by Karmin International.
The IceCube Lab here at South Pole contains a computer cluster that collects neutrino astronomy science data taken with a one-cubic-kilometer sized neutrino detector array deployed deep in the glacial ice. At sunset, which happens only once a year at South Pole, the building is glowing in a great yellow-orange light.
Passers by in this hallway can glance over and see what's going on in the lab. A lab staffer has artistic skills, or knows somebody. As if the room needed help, this filthy sheet of glass provided a "grunge filter" for photos of the lab's beat-up cabinets, linked below.
Our first trip down this thin strip of land since the most recent hurricane's, Ian and Nicole. This scenic drive suffered a lot of storm damage, and only recently has been reopened to car traffic.

Je suis allée mercredi à Réhab2 (photos bientôt... enfin... comme d'hab quoi). Cela m'a fait penser à Lab 14, avec pas mal d'artistes qui ont participé aux deux "expositions".
Petite série de Lab 14, donc, qui a eu lieu de décembre 2016 à février 2017.
Le Lab 14 s'était installé dans d'anciens bureaux au-dessus de la Poste du 140, boulevard du Montparnasse.
L'idée était d'investir des lieux désaffectés en invitant tout un tas d'artistes à prendre possession de pièces entières, de cages d'escalier ou simplement à exposer quelques toiles.
