This is the hut of the Nagraj Chetrapal (Chetrapals are the guards of the Gods). This particular hut has a Snake Hole. It is believed that the Nagraj comes out of the hole on every Full Moon night.
People come here from far-off places and ask for their problems to be solved and other wishes to be fulfilled. Once the problem gets solved or they get their wishes fulfilled, they are supposed to come back and tie a coconut in a red cloth as a token of thanks to Chetrapal for solving their problems!

The first half of the journey (Krishnagiri to Vellore) is pretty scenic and rewarding, especially if you can get to the expressway by 5am!

This temple is on a hill opposite the Krishnagiri fort. We turned in here by mistake and went up to find this dilapidated temple that can't be entered through the door. Apparently there are was some robbery here a few years ago and the ASI has locked it up ever since. Other than this story, there were no visible signs of ASI's presence there. To go in, people have to jump in through a windown to the right side of this mandapam
