There's little doubt that eBooks are coming...they save paper, they save space, they don't decay with exposure to light nd air, and users can download multiple texts to a single reader.
But I'll miss the smell of books. Dusty musty old books. Books that have been read and re-read. Handled and dog-eared and bookmarked. I'll miss paging thru an old book of poems and reading the notes scrawled in the margin by some forgotten hand.
Above all, I'll miss the near-human fragility of books.

Even though I read a lot (and forget most of the details). Before retiring in 2005 my job as a librarian was to catalog books and serials in a big academic library (FSU). Sometimes I would say that the flood of new and rehashed knowledge we handled kept reminding me of how much more ignorant I and every other individual was becoming, compared to the growing total of knowledge.
DrupalCamp is a non-profit event organized by the Drupal community Tunisia in collaboration with Clibre association. The purpose of the event is to bring together Drupal experts who will share their knowledge and expertise around the CMS as well as related technologies. camp2016.drupal.tn/
He was determined to find out whether this was the Tree of Life or the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. And there was no other way than to climb that tree, get one of those juicy fruits and eat it. He moved fast, and we're glad He did it, because this story is getting long and somebody's photo stream is becoming humdrum.

These three self portraits are from a project concentrating on the role of women in christianity, more specifically Catholicism. They show how women are stereotypically portrayed in the bible and more subtly in a society that has grown from Christian values.

In this talk I will equip photographers with the tips, tricks, and knowledge they need to begin photographing the wild birds of the San Francisco Bay area. I'll discuss different kinds of birds and where to find them at different times of the day and the year, how to approach birds in the field, how best to use the sun to light birds, and how knowledge of bird behavior can help you make better images. Anyone interested in birds or photography is welcome!
Note: The Club meeting begins at 7:00pm with roughly 30 minutes of club business, my presentation should begin around 7:30pm.
