Underneath the the Golden Raintree, the old man made his bed.
Where once weeds and thorns grew, beauteous flowers live instead.
In a candid scene, daffodils dance to the music the birds provide.
A trail of earth crowded by stones serves as my guide.
I search for the spirits that kiss through the dark wood.
To see, to hear, to touch, if only I could.

Hold on how did she get in between these two? OH well the blond is back and yep we do have more fun and yep I do feel so much more womanly when I am blond! how odd is that?
This is one of my faves at the moment as it shows that little mischievous look I have to perfection.

One day,
you will feel that the Creator
is no longer a riddle,
that the Creator has never been hidden from you,
that the Creator
has never concealed His face from you,
that the Creator is not at all far from you,
that the Creator is no longer the One that you constantly long for in your thoughts but that you cannot reach with your feelings,
that He is really and truly standing guard to your left and right,
supplying your life, and controlling your destiny, controlling your destiny.
He is not on the remote horizon, nor has He secreted Himself high up in the clouds.
He is right by your side, presiding over your all,
He is everything that you have, and He is the only thing you have.
Such a God
allows you to love Him from the heart,
cling to Him, hold Him close, admire Him,
fear to lose Him,
and be unwilling to renounce Him any longer, disobey Him any longer,
or any longer to evade Him or put Him at a distance.
All you want is to care for Him, obey Him,
requite all that He gives you, and surrender to His dominion.
You no longer refuse to be guided,
supplied, watched over, and kept by Him,
no longer refuse what He dictates and ordains for you,
what He dictates and ordains for you.
All you want is to follow Him, walk alongside Him to His left or right, to follow Him, walk alongside Him to His left or right,
all you want is to accept Him as your one and only Lord,
all you want is to accept Him as your one and only Lord, your one and only God.
You no longer
You no longer
You no longer
You no longer
refuse to be guided, supplied, watched over, and kept by Him,
no longer refuse
no longer refuse
no longer refuse
no longer refuse
what He dictates and ordains for you, what He dictates and ordains for you.
All you want is to follow Him, walk alongside Him to His left or right, to follow Him, walk alongside Him to His left or right,
all you want is to accept Him as your one and only Lord,
all you want is to accept Him as your one and only Lord, your one and only God.
All you want is to follow Him, walk alongside Him to His left or right, to follow Him, walk alongside Him to His left or right,
all you want is to accept Him as your one and only Lord, as your one and only Lord, your one and only God,
your one and only God.

Knowing where this photo was taken would be nice. This is the Fire Alarm Office of a major city. There are 14 registers and take up wheels and four operators at the ready (including one with a large cigar in his mouth). A massive circuit board has a Gamewell name plate. The calendar on the back wall is for February 1909.
I hope this will be your favorite, like it was for my Mother, who handed out thousands of copies.
DON’T QUIT
I.
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit—
Rest if you must, but don’t quit.
II.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow—
You may succeed with another blow.
III.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor’s cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
IV.
Success is failure turned inside out—
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit—
It’s when things seem worst that you mustn’t quit.

So knowing we had another supermoon coming up I thought I'd capture the new crescent moon n the twilight hour! Sat in the dining room with the 500mm and shot through the window with a silver brolly to reflect some light into the shadows... hand-held, 30secs f8 I think it worked quite well... Getting the idea now that George Lucas was in charge of the moon landings :-)

Havent had time to go out and shoot .....hoping to this weekend so did a litttle photoshop of a place I couldnt do justice to due to the rain.......hope you have a great weekend.....
A blast from a multi-limbed past.
I quite like how the old 'imperfect' app captured the sub-limb-inal, before it worked out how to count appendages, and make things 'real'. There must be a way to combine both.

Finally the money shot of the trees the park is named after, Yucca brevifolia or Joshua tree as it is more commonly known is the start attraction of the park. If you are entering the park from the south entrance like i did you will not find many trees until you reach almost until the mid point of the park. The tree requires a particular type of temperature range and grows in the cooler Mojave region of the desert.
The name Joshua tree was given by a group of Mormon settlers who crossed the Mojave Desert in the mid-19th century. The tree's unique shape reminded them of a Biblical story in which Joshua reaches his hands up to the sky in prayer.Joshua trees are fast growers for the desert; new seedlings may grow at an average rate of 7.6 cm (3.0 in) per year in their first ten years, then only grow about 3.8 cm (1.5 in) per year thereafter. The trunk of a Joshua tree is made of thousands of small fibers and lacks annual growth rings, making it difficult to determine the tree's age. This tree has a top-heavy branch system, but also has what has been described as a "deep and extensive" root system, with roots possibly reaching up to 11 m (36 ft) away. If it survives the rigors of the desert it can live for hundreds of years with some specimens surviving up to a thousand years. The tallest trees reach about 15 m (49 ft). New plants can grow from seed, but in some populations, new stems grow from underground rhizomes that spread out around the Joshua tree.

"Wilderness areas are first of all a series of sanctuaries for the primitive arts of wilderness travel, especially canoeing and packing. I suppose some will wish to debate whether it is important to keep these primitive arts alive. I shall not debate it. Either you know it in your bones, or you are very, very old." ~ Aldo Leopold, A Sand County Almanac and Sketches Here and There
Even in the end, the story is beautiful knowing more will come again. The end of one of my magnolia blooms and even if the petals are gone, it's beauty still remains I think!! Look at the colors and the textures...still gorgeous :) And, more will come again!! Happy Bokeh Wednesday!

Knowing where a pair of Red-bellied woodpeckers have made their nest doesn't always mean you'll get a photo of one. Often, patience is required. That, and the ability to hold a camera with a beefy lens focused on the same spot for a while.
A Fujifilm X-T4 camera with an XF 100-400mm OIS f/4.5~5.6 lens was used to capture this moment @ 400mm, f/5.6 1/80 sec, ISO-800, DSCF8481.
Knowing that 87002 was heading back on 1M16 I decided to gamble on going to Cathiron, hoping the sun had risen sufficiently. Well it hadn't so here's a record shot for posterity.
Hello. It's been a while, quite a while actually. As some of you know, i'm now working fulltime as a teacher. To have a fulltime work and an anxiety from hell have made it hard for me to have time and energy for my photography, i also have performance requirements, about how i'm teaching but also with my photography work. There is no good enogh for me. (Well THERE IS but i have a hard time with it).
But today i have two photos for you. I actually did overcome my fear of "i don't know what i'm doing". And enjoyed expressing myself again. This is my language.
Knowing he couldn't get by on his looks like his rakishly handsome brother Percy does, Remus took his life in a different direction.
After knowing that their city is under the Queens control, Jarson Garz'hok and his friend Ranks flee to Lenfald.
After a few days of marching they heard a scream.
"Hey, there was a scream! We have to look if everyone is ok!"
"No. I'm not a knight anymore. I was never this kind of person. Surely its a trap."
"No. Jarson, come on! I heard a woman and a little child!"
And so he begann runnning.
"Wait!"
Jarson starts to run too and began to overtake Ranks.
"Look! There... huu ... is a little house! And there are ... huuu ... Zombies!!
"Could be funny. Let the party begin!"
*Splash*
*After the censored fight*
"Thank you very much Mister. What was your name again?"
"Just call me Jarson. But you speak very good for a farmer!"
"Hehe, that might be because I'm not a farmer. I flee because of these Outlaws and then saw this woman in danger. I had to help!"
"Sure. We too!"
"But let me introduce myself: Sir Bricksens. Elf out of Lenfald. Normally I fight with a bow, but a Zombie catched it..."
"Sir, may we make you an offer? We could flee together - 3 people are better than 2! And I like the way you are fighting!"
"Sounds nice! Let the journey begin."
(Woman)"Wait, you can't leave us! What if there are more Zombies?"
"No problem, Madam. I think my new 2 friend will chase this Zombies in this forest, right?"
"And so I like you more and more. Hunting Zombies is alwasys funny."

Because of having problems with shooting the picture (so you can see everything, that did'nt worked so well) I will maybe make some scenes in the future. Any tipps for the picture?
Knowing that Prague is very popular, we deliberately visited there in the shoulder-month of October - and it still the city was overrun with tourists (knowing full well, we are part of the epidemic). The days and evenings were hit and miss in terms of weather, but we had managed to get quite a few shots in between the showers. Enjoy!
