The above mash-up includes abstractions of imagery I shot off of a projections screen from Marty McCutcheon's films "Is this Really Me?" and "Knockout," and from "20/20" an ongoing international video collaboration from members of ArtReview.net that made its world premiere on June 5. Participants include Mike Hink (UK), Germán Britch (Argentina), Lousie Gains (UK), Osvaldo Ciblis (Uruguay / Italy), Vivienne Chan (Hong Kong / Canada), W.T. Richards (UK), Cora de Lang (Sri Lanka), 48073 (Netherlands), and McCutcheon (USA).

I spent the latter part of 2011 photographing several world championship martial arts/boxing contests all over the country from Newcastle down to Bristol which, while challenging and hard work (24hr days in some cases), were great fun. This was a first round total knockout during an MMA bout. Can't wait for the next one.
“One-two, one-two, on the ball of your feet now, dukes up!” On July 10, 2013, a summer-long boxing program hosted by the anti-obesity initiative “Knockout Obesity” kicked off at The Boys’ Club of New York (BCNY) in lower Manhattan. Brooklyn restauranteur Dimitrios Verteouris, founded Knockout Obesity after he lost 82lbs in three months using boxing and his own good eats from Nature's Grill. Each Wednesday, Dimitrios trained his young students with the help of a professional boxer, including Marcus Browne, Danny Jacobs, Shemuel Pagan and Gary Stark, Jr. Whether 6-years-old, or 17, Dimitrios engaged his young students with sit-ups, push-ups, and jumping jacks, followed by one-on-one tutorials on posture and vigorous rounds of shadowboxing, padworks, and glove to glove. Joining Verteouris on day one, was team member and author, Dr. Wendy Scinta, a childhood obesity expert and bariatric surgeon with her own practice, Medical Weight Loss of New York, PLLC. Quizzing the kids on fat, carbs, sugar and protein, she demonstrated the effect of fast food on the body with a suitcase full of fat. Knockout Obesity is a part of BCNY’s Mental & Physical Health programming.

I'm sure this was an oversight and will be fixed in the commercial version. (The password is "thingie.")

***UPDATE*** 12/29/12. In case you were wondering, there is a modernist couple in Missouri that have accumulated a stash of ultra cool stuff, including the addition of this rare Dania design, and the long, lean Standard desk. Now we have to get those old codgers at the lake on the right page! Immense thanks Jeff and Meghan. Happy New Year!
