There are hundreds of pictures of forks and eggs, but most of them forks parallel to the horizontal, egg straight up, neutral background in black or white,
Time to extend the spectrum, different background, only small part of the forks, and egg somehow out of balance.
There is a certain tendency to call "paella" to any seasoned rice, and only because it has a certain yellow color.
However, it has been normalized for a long time and it has been registered that in order for this "rice with something" to finally be called "paella" without running the risk of being excommunicated by some fan of the designation of origin, this rice has to have specific ingredients.
In this case, the rice, in addition to the usual dressing and condiments, prepared by my dear (and only) brother, had as its main material, always having some animal protein, pork and that fungus known as "boletus edulis".
But without getting into the game of what is the correct name and defoliating the daisy if it is paella or not paella, or "rice with something", what I can say in a completely safe way is that this "rice with something" was delicious.

Thanks dear brother!

¡Gracias, querido hermano!

Playing with some spoons in the night and with the ipad screen reflection on the spoons ....
My spoon shots are inspired by the many ones I've seen on Flickr but I try something a little different with reflection in the night and with the help of an ipad for the patterns.

Deliberated a lot! Finally came up with this. The glass is half full from the juice of half an orange, the second half yet to be juiced.
Cabramatta is a suburb in south-western Sydney and has the largest Hoa Vietnamese community in Australia. I like visiting this place.
Here is a photo of a lady as she navigates her way though a rather crowded side alley where merchants sell everything from food to kitchenware, clothing, textiles and jewellery. I like her determined look and her hasty stride!

Excerpt from www.mtr.com.hk: Led by the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation and artist Law Man-lok, “Tribute to Traditional Shops”, is the photography and illustration series of the four projects including Bamboo Kitchenware Store, Dried Seafood Store, Paper Offering Store and Rice Store.
The historical business district of Sai Ying Pun was once home to hundreds of traditional family-run shops, many of which specialised in handcrafted products for special occasions and everyday needs. Although many of these shops have now closed, those that continue to trade are a reminder of the unique character of this historic community.
For this project, a group of teenagers visited traditional bamboo kitchenware stores and spoke to the owners about their work and memories. Using these reflections, they worked with the artist to create lively pieces of art incorporating text and illustrations.
