Shot for CC Week 2 - Contrast - Old vs New. I do still use an old potato masher for potatoes. This one was retired from someone's kitchen - I use it for arts and crafts. My hand blender I use all the time...
Macro view of a chrome wine bottle opener resting in dense red packing material. Side lighting creates sharp reflections on the metal surface while the textured folds amplify depth and structure. The shallow focus isolates the opener’s curved form and emphasizes the contrast between hard chrome and soft material. A straightforward kitchen-related macro study.
This tiny little battery operated device is a must have for those who like their milk steamed and frothy with their coffee. HMM
The bottles reminded me of Picasso's figures before his cubist stage, so I did some photo editing on the background and details to make the photo look more Picasso-ish. I don't know the artist name but I found the bottles at the Arts on Ten gallery in Flesherton, Ontario. The town is a haven for artists and a great place to visit. Source of textures: mostly mine and some pic monkey.
flickr lounge: hand tools...from the kitchen. High speed hand blender will be using this week for whipped sweet potatoes.
Sometimes it needs a bit more grunt to get the lid off a jar.
I found this metal adjustable jar opener online last week for the price of a coffee. So far it has lived up to the advertisement.
In other news there's not much happening this morning 😅

A set of heart-shaped measuring spoons with slogans on them, wedding favours. A big pinch of curcuma or 1/4 teaspoon :-)

A dozen of "different" eggs.
Thanks for my wife for helping me with the idea and to my daughter for letting me use her kitchen tools.

Never been in a cafeteria line? Mashed potatoes. Rice. Tuna salad. Probably not ice cream. Here, prisoners who helped fill the trays would have been issued the tool, and that tool would have to be checked back in after the meal.
I liked the gears in the cranking mechanism

We've just landed in the kitchen, one of the upper deck galley's of the British Airways A380, where the magic happens, keeping everyone fed & watered.
British Airways Airbus A380 G-XLEF operating the daily BA 462 from London Heathrow to Madrid @ 15.15 hrs.
British Airways have been begun operating their A380's again since grounding during the Covid-19 pandemic, using them on daily trips to Madrid & Frankfurt, a real treat for enthusiasts during November/ December 2021.
Special thanks to Sophie, Marie & Philip, BA cabin crew for taking great care of me that day, what an experience.
Great to see the BA A380 back again #WelcomeBack

Recommandation de nos aînées :
"Pour garder un homme, il faut bien faire l'amour et bien faire la cuisine"
alors je vous laisse devenir pourquoi on m'appelle encore "mademoiselle".....
Recommendation of our elders :
"To keep a man, one has to love and good cooking"
Then I let you guess why they still call me "miss" and no "madam" (big smile)
