King parrots have a very distinctive cry, it is easy to tell when there is one in the backyard.

Lady Bug-Bird,taking up all of this Flower Hear.

A mottled emigrant butterfly on the Jamaican spike flowers. The texture on it's wings is remarkable, and the direction of light here enhances it just right.

Thank you all so much for the comment's fave's and group invitations. I appreciate it very much

I'm by no means a mushroom specialist and also not the biggest fan in the world in terms of mushroom dishes but I think this might be a nice penny bun. The forest below Easdon Tor in Dartmoor National Park was full of all sorts of fungi, the shamrocks added a nice bit of additional interest to the woodland scene. I would however not dare to pick any as I have no idea about what is delicious and what is lethal....

Here a video of our walk up to Easdon Tor and through the woods:

The King's Chef Diner looks to be an old Valentine Diner. Found as we were casually leaving Colorado Springs near the Downtown.

Seen in a garden in our neighbourhood. Shot using the birding lens as the flower is well into the garden and I don't know the people in the house.

KING CRIMSON

I just couldn't believe my luck today, when I lifted a sheet of tin next to the car bonnet and this brick red snake was under it. It was a mere two days after finding that stunning orange Copperhead not more than 2 metres away! Portrait of a stupendous, adult male, red phase Lowland Copperhead (Austrelaps superbus) found thermoregulating under cover at lunchtime today. The weather conditions were mild, with full cloud cover and 19 deg. C. at that time. The sheet of tin he was under has been strategically placed to attract such beauties right near the front door, and it did not disappoint. I had not yet been acquainted with him prior to this meeting, so we got to know each other a little better over a quick photo shoot before he was returned to his tin palace. I really love how the coal-coloured interstitial skin is offsetting those raised, plate-like, scarlet red scales. What a glamourous pair of neighbours I've got!! I'm so lucky!

There are ducks and then their is the King Eider, even more awesome when you see them hanging out in Jersey.
