Our daughter's class went to a fishing derby today for special needs students. Everyone had a great time.
Hmm - what with it being the middle of October and all, it's likely that Halloween thing will come around again soon. I wonder what Beatrice Kiddo from the Kill Bill movies will be up to this year?

My son and I wait in line to buy tickets for a baseball game in Klamath Falls, Oregon during 2013. The stadium was built by the Klamath Falls Gems in the late 1940s. They were a Class D affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies in the Far West League.
After the league folded following the 1951 season, the ballpark was renamed Estin Kiger Stadium. In the 1960s, locals considered the park to be the "Youth Baseball Capitol of the World." I grew up watching several friends and family members play baseball here.
From 2011 to 2018, a collegiate wood bat team named for the old Gems called Kiger home. They were the attraction on the evening of our visit, when this image was recorded.
It is probably a minor miracle that the venerable all-wood grandstand has made it into the 21st century without suffering a major fire of some sort.
