The one thing Julie wanted for Mothers Day was to go hike on a real trail in the woods. So in an attempt to avoid the "opening day" crowds around Seattle, we headed out to the Peninsula. She did 3.5 miles and 800 or so feet of elevation on the Tunnel Creek Trail.

It's a 1st-3rd grade combined homeroom, which I like. Mr. Cheeks was intrigued, though he didn't like it as much as the kindergarten room, and soon he begged to leave.
He didn't mean without Kiddo. When he realized that's what was happening, the freakouts began in full force.
