The 4th International Conference on New Business Models hosted by Florian Lüdeke-Freund and his Chair for Corporate Sustainability at ESCP Europe Berlin brought together 186 business model and sustainability experts from 30+ countries. We saw 100 paper presentations, great discussion panels by Thomas Wunder, Henning Breuer and Romana Rauter, and inspiring keynotes by Stefan Schaltegger, Lorenzo Massa and Nancy Bocken. A big thank-you to Tobias Froese for managing the conference so well!

As President of Bank of America California, Janet Lamkin is responsible for ensuring the integration of the company’s entire operation throughout the state, in order to deliver the full power of Bank of America to customers, clients and communities and meet the bank’s growth goals across all lines of business. California is the largest and most important market in Bank of America’s nationwide franchise, and Bank of America is California’s largest bank.
Janet worked for Bank of America in California for more than ten years, serving in a variety of management positions. She left the bank in 2005 to become President and Chief Executive Officer of the California Bankers Association and returned in June of 2007 to assume her current role.
The former president of the Professional Business Women of California, Janet serves on the boards of the California Chamber of Commerce, the Southern California Leadership Council and the Executive Committee of the Bay Area Council. She is a member of the Advisory Council of the Milken Institute’s California Center and was named one of the 100 most influential businesswomen in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times in 2002, 2003, 2008 and 2009. In 2009, she received the Founders Award from the Women’s Initiative for Self Employment and was named Financial Woman of the year by the Financial Womens Association of San Francisco. She also serves on the boards of the San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, United Way of the Bay Area, the Autry National Center, and the Los Angeles YMCA.
