It almost feels as though the first 22 years of my career was preparing me for what I do now. It presented me with the challenges and the opportunities to learn. In a large part its these lessons which I now call upon.
Creating the charity Hands Across the Water to enrich the lives of the kids in Thailand who lost their parents, I have found that building this has added to the skills from working in places like Bali after the bombings or Thailand after the tsunami.
Be it speaking, training, or consulting in the corporate space I find that on a contextual level we are dealing with similar issues. I now get to share what I have learnt from these experiences which gives a different perspective.
