Local business strip in the City of Archer City, Texas. Yep, that's right, they call it a "city" twice. The population is 1,555. I'll let you decide whether that's a city or not.

Overblown Helleborus orientalis and violas in the roadside flower bed. Taken on and duplicated digitally from KENTMERE Pan 100 black and white negative film.
Helleborus orientalis (Lenten rose) is a perennial flowering plant in the buttercup family, native to eastern Europe and Turkey.
It was the first time, that the mountains were covered in clouds, since I visit the island. Safely covered and leaving little drips up in the hights - but no drop fell down to cover the thirsty soil.

At last, a local landscape image that I’m happy with. No stunning mountains or anything, but I went out when the weather forecast was very changeable, alternating sun and rain. The trees, contours and crops caught my eye. The dramatic light is what makes the image, though. I timed it perfectly and caught the last rays of sun hitting the ridge, with the black storm clouds behind already dropping water. Minutes later the heavens opened and I got completely soaked, and made my cold ten times worse. But it was definitely worth it.

One of the few times that I’d wanted to be shooting colour film, so I decided instead to tint the flowers in post, instead, like they used to do before the arrival of colour.

Every now and then, someone asks me to take their picture (of course they do, when you see something so elegant as a SRT, how would you not want to?), and most of the time I actually like the result. Cheers, man!

The limit of navigation above Bardolph weir. The boat looks to be a houseboat, there is a little boat next to it, presumably for crossing the river. There was once a ferry a little downriver from here but that is long gone. The Trent is a big wide river and bridges are expensive, there are not very many of them.
