This is a little sketch from memory of Kennedy Meadows in California.

When my children were young we stayed in a very rustic cabin there and my son caught his first trout in the nearby stream.

Kennedy Meadows is located approximately 60 miles East of Sonora, nestled high in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

The resort people will pack you by horseback into the Emigrant Wilderness or Southern Yosemite National Park, and it is called the Gateway to the Emigrant Wilderness.

It is very beautiful there.

This is a Watercolor and Ink sketch.

One of the more [bizzarre] interesting corners of the Henry Ford Museum. Along with car seat for Mr. Kennedy the museum also has the Chair that Abe Lincoln sat when he was shot at Ford's Theater in Washington.

President Kennedy was in this car when he was shot in Dallas TX, Nov 22, 1963.

The J. F. Kennedy Memorial in Birmingham, England, is a memorial mosaic mural to John F. Kennedy, by Kenneth Budd.

The mosaic, commissioned by Birmingham's Irish community, and funded by public subscription, was constructed in panels, at Budd's company in south London, Kenneth Budd and Associates.

The mosaic was erected on St Chad’s Circus outside the City's Roman Catholic St Chad's Cathedral, in July 1968, at a cost of £5,000. When the road system was redeveloped in 2007 the mosaic was removed and placed in storage.

In 2012 it was re-created, and erected in January 2013, in the city's Irish Quarter, on Floodgate Street in Digbeth, in reworked form, including the controversial addition of a new face, that of former Lord Mayor of Birmingham Mike Nangle, the city's first Irish Lord Mayor. The work was overseen by Budd's son, Oliver, who worked from his father's original drawings.A formal unveiling took place on 23 February 2013.

Featured alongside Kennedy in the mosaic are his brother Teddy, the Seal of the President of the United States (using real gold), Martin Luther King, American policemen and other figures.

The original mosaic had wording at either side. The wording on the right said

(all in upper case):

There are

signs on

the grave-

yards of

The recreated mosaic has different words. On the left (again, all in upper case):

States

and to the right:

Kennedy Mansion (Valley Forge), also known as Kennedy-Supplee Mansion, is an Italian-villa-style residence within Valley Forge National Historical Park. Now squeezed between PA Route 23 and U.S. Route 422 (Pottstown Expressway), it once overlooked the 19th-century industrial village of Port Kennedy.

Port Kennedy was named for Alexander Kennedy, a major figure in the American lime industry. Limestone was quarried from the Valley Forge hills and processed into lime, which was shipped on the Schuylkill Canal and, after 1849, on the Reading Railroad. The 1852 mansion and the 1845 Port Kennedy Presbyterian Church, now on opposite sides of a superhighway, are all that is left of the village. Wikipedia

The John F. Kennedy Space Center (KSC, originally known as the NASA Launch Operations Center) is one of ten National Aeronautics and Space Administration field centers. Since December 1968, KSC has been NASA's primary launch center of human spaceflight. Launch operations for the Apollo, Skylab and Space Shuttle programs were carried out from Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39 and managed by KSC. Located on the east coast of Florida, KSC is adjacent to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS). The management of the two entities work very closely together, share resources, and even own facilities on each other's property.

Though the first Apollo flights and all Project Mercury and Project Gemini flights took off from CCAFS, the launches were managed by KSC and its previous organization, the Launch Operations Directorate. Starting with the fourth Gemini mission, the NASA launch control center in Florida (Mercury Control Center, later the Launch Control Center) began handing off control of the vehicle to the Mission Control Center in Houston, shortly after liftoff; in prior missions it held control throughout the entire mission.

Additionally, the center manages launch of robotic and commercial crew missions and researches food production and In-Situ Resource Utilization for off-Earth exploration. Since 2010, the center has worked to become a multi-user spaceport through industry partnerships, even adding a new launch pad (LC-39C) in 2015.

There are about 700 facilities and buildings grouped across the center's 144,000 acres (580 km2). Among the unique facilities at KSC are the 525-foot (160 m) tall Vehicle Assembly Building for stacking NASA's largest rockets, the Launch Control Center, which conducts space launches at KSC, the Operations and Checkout Building, which houses the astronauts dormitories and suit-up area, a Space Station factory, and a 3-mile (4.8 km) long Shuttle Landing Facility. There is also a Visitor Complex open to the public on site.
