Wo sonst um diese Zeit ein großer bildschöner Weihnachtsmarkt steht, der weit über die Stadtgrenzen hinaus bekannt und beliebt ist, hat die Stadt Essen nichts unversucht gelassen, doch in dieser Corona-Zeit ein weihnachtliches Gefühl aufkommen zu lassen.
Ich war irgendwie beeindruckt.
In manchen Städten hingegen sieht es richtig trostlos aus.
CN Freight L580 is about to leave the Mackenzie Sub and swing south onto the Chetwynd Sub at Kennedy British Columbia. Both Subdivisions were constructed by the then provincially owned British Columbia Railway, and thankfully still see a good amount of traffic under CN ownership

Early morning light on the Kennedy Ranges in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. This National Park was one of the highlights of our trip west. Beautiful gorges, good bush walks and stunning scenery. All without the crowds. A must if over this way.

Roseate Spoonbill
The Roseate Spoonbill (Platalea ajaja) - sometimes placed in its own genus Ajaja - is a gregarious wading bird of the ibis and spoonbill family, Threskiornithidae. It is a resident breeder in South America mostly east of the Andes, and in coastal regions of the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, the Gulf Coast of the United States, and from central Florida's Atlantic coast at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, adjoined with NASA Kennedy Space Center at least as far north as South Carolina's Huntington Beach State Park.

Aus dem Volkpark Schöneberg schauen wir auf eine U-Bahn-Station der U4 von Innsbrucker Platz zum Nollendorf Platz. Hinter den Bäumen ragt der Turm des Rathaus-Schöneberg hervor.
Das Rathaus Schöneberg war von 1949- 1993 Regierungssitz von West-Berlin und der alliierten Verbindungsoffiziere. Hier tagte auch das Abgeordnetenhaus von West-Berlin.
In dem Turm ist die Freiheitsglocke installiert, seit dem 21.Oktober 1950 läutet sie jeden Tag um 12:00 Uhr.
Das Rathaus galt während der deutschen Spaltung als weltweites Symbol für den Freiheitswillen der geteilten Stadt".
Von dem Balkon, nicht sichtbar auf diesem Foto, hat John F. Kennedy, an die auf dem Platz vor dem Rathaus stehende Bevölkerung West Berlins sein berühmt gewordenes Bekenntnis "Ich bin ein Berliner" gerichtet! Der John-F.-Kennedy-Platz hieß, bevor er zu Ehren drei Tage nach Ermordung Kennedys umbenannt wurde, Rudolph-Wilde-Platz!
Heute ist es der Sitz der Bürgermeisterin von Tempelhof-Schöneberg, Tagungsort der Bezirksverordneten-Versammlung BVV und der Verwaltung des Bezirkes.

From the Volkpark Schöneberg we look at an underground station of the U4 from Innsbrucker Platz to Nollendorf Platz. Behind the trees is the tower of the town hall of Schöneberg.
The town hall of Schöneberg was the seat of government of West Berlin and the allied liaison officers from 1949 to 1993. The House of Representatives of West Berlin also met here.
The Liberty Bell has been installed in the tower and has been ringing every day since October 21, 1950 at 12:00 noon.
During the German division, the town hall was regarded as a worldwide symbol of the "will to freedom of the divided city".
From the balcony, not visible in this photo, John F. Kennedy addressed his famous confession "I am a Berliner" to the people of West Berlin standing on the square in front of the city hall! John F Kennedy Square was named Rudolph Wild Square before it was renamed in honor of three days after Kennedy's assassination!
Today it is the seat of the mayor of Tempelhof-Schöneberg, venue of the district ordinances meeting BVV and the administration of the district.

I've been to these falls a great many times - it's local and the trail to it runs through a cedar strewn rainforest. I was glad to catch it this time after a couple of days or summer rain, and especially glad to discover new compositions that I had somehow missed in earlier visits.

Die Kohle wird dabei in umliegenden Miene gefördert und mithilfe von zahlreichen Kohlezügen über das endlos wirkende Streckennetzt um Tuzla ins größte Kohlekraftwerk des Landes befördert. zum Einsatz kommen dabei Dieselloks der Baureihe sechs 661 der ehemaligen Jugoslovenske Železnice, sowie teilweise noch Dampfloks der ehemaligen Deutschen Kriegsbaureihe 52, wobei es sich hierbei um die letzten planmäßigen Dampflokeinsätze Europas handelt. am 19. März zog 316 genannter Baureihe einen solchen leeren Kohle Zug in Richtung Rudnik Šikulje Miene und konnte dabei vor dem mächtigen Kohle Kraftwerk Tuzlas bildlich festgehalten werden. neben den Dampflok. Neben den Dampflok Einsätzen werden auch durch Minen und durch das Kohlekraftwerk noch immer Schwefeldioxide und Chemikalien ungefiltert in die Luft geleitet, womit Tuzla in der vergangenheit zum dreckigsten Ort Europas erklärt wurde.
