Cosmos in Treptower Park
These portraits of plants, have been made for many different reasons but always for the JOY of it. All of my photographs are daytime, made in city parks and gardens and virtually straight out of the camera with the absolute minimum of post processing.
This on going photographic odyssey, that I call TERRA INCOGNITA, has helped me notice what is always present in my life if I can make the time to look.

I cannot remember the last time I took my camera with me and had such a relaxing time. I really miss my weekend where I don't need to plan much and just go out and shoot. Unfortunately, I will still be very busy for another week or two before I can take more time to do some photography.
That moment of time where I sat at Iona Beach Regional Park with my camera was very enjoyable. I was thinking to stay longer but the mosquitoes were so aggressive that I got so many bites afterwards :(

Had no idea how to make a picture for the theme "keep it simple" in the flickr friday group. So instead of taking a cat, moon, snow or fruit sample and instead of doing something with a big tripod-, light- and processingsetup I decided to take a simple bokehlicious picture.

This is a simple black and white photograph of a hand casting we got done as a family keepsake back in 2014 when the kids where a bit younger. I was looking round the house yesterday for things to photograph using lights to have a bokeh effect but when photographing this it just didn't work and seemed to over complicate the simple message that this casting has always meant to me... togetherness.
So as a wee treat to myself before I start my work today I thought id take a much simpler approach to this. Shot at the sun room window on a simple piece of black perspex with a nifty 50mm.
Stay safe everyone... keep it together... and we will all get through this to a better world... hopefully were people have more respect to the power of nature and how at a drop of a hat it can bring our human world to its knees.
And a wee song that always makes me feel hopeful and happy and describes a bit how we need to live after this!
