I think my friend here is in a meditative state... mesmorized by the clear blue-green waters of Lake Huron. What a glorious day!
In order to explore further in the near future, I need to be prepared well for the worst scenario. When running into over meters high waves, it is quit possible kayak flipping over. The roll back is the most efficient way to rescue. This is self-training for different kayak rolls
I'm loving the autumnal reflections at the moment - hopefully you are too! The reflected patterns still lakes give plenty of opportunity to play about with abstract ideas. The other camera slingers nearby uttered frustration under their breath when she passed for ruining the reflection. You have to take things as they come when photographing an ever changing environment - and make the most of them. Even if it means flipping the rule book on its head..
Kayaking at Tjärnö in Bohuslän, Sweden. This was during a field-stay at Tjärnö marine biological laboratory at the Swedish west-coast, the stay was a part of a course in marine biology. I didn't have my eos 30D back then, but used a compact digital camera that i had borrowed from my dad.

Kayak fishing is my life , oh no , kayak fishing is my hobby . I am not privileged as such . I have got a passion . This year has been fantastic in every aspect . I set my goals as early as the first of January . Catching 25 species from the kayak in Scotland . This week we tackled the east . We teamed up well considering we are out to sea .
Species 25 came along nicely . Ding a ling as we say , the serpent looking cod . Half a mile out from the launch we have one thing in mind is to stay put on that kayak . The wind and tide are gathering pace , from time to time I check out on my friends Ian and Marcos .And they do the same with me .
This is multitasking , today’s fishing is not easy , the drift is fast .
The team is getting good , I feel safe out to sea .
I forgot to say , species 26 is now onboard too . A ( maossive ) scorpion fish . I did not know those fish could grow that size . We stay 6 good hours on the lumpy sea and say no to the last drift . We understand the risk and know our limits . This year has been so interesting in every aspect , we have learned so much as a team . No one knows where our next trip will be , that’s Scotland with the unpredictable weather . And we still have so much to learn , every day is a school day . Enjoy the images .
