This photo is straight from camera - no touching-up/cropping. The camera was on a tripod and an IR remote control was used to trigger the shutter. The backdrop is coloured card. A single light source (daylight) from a window on the right was used. Other photo information is in the EXIF data.
Sometimes, I would like to burst everyone til death and afterwards see their still warm entrails spread on the streets.

Taken moments before yesterday's view, D&RGW K-28 2-8-2 476 backs its way across the Animas River at Elk Park. 476 had been built by ALCo in 1923 as one of 10 2-8-2s in Class K-28. While seven of the ten were requisitioned during WWII by the U. S. Army, 476 (along with 473 and 478) were retained by the Rio Grande. As the Rio Grande narrow gauge system shrank, 476 found itself regularly appearing on the Silverton Branch. 476 would remain there until 1982 when it was sold to the newly formed Durango & Silverton. 476 still calls the D&S home and currently operates as of 2024.
