In the heart of Maryborough’s picturesque Wharf Street sits the old building of K.Meyer & Co.

With her aged timber boards, broken windows and weathered front sign, this old girl gives the wanderer a gentle reminder of yesteryear when industry was strong in the region.

Importers and reconditioned of Diesel engines, along with being a rep for China export, K.Meyer & Co. was more than likely a real hub of activity in its day!

But today the old shed sits empty. Her hand painted front sign is faded and broken. Her old iron sink no longer a place for washing grease from a hard working mans hands. Yet the charm and character is there, quietly looking over the river that once fed the town with industry and commerce.
