This is a juniper (Juniperus chinensis) I just bought at Home Depot. This is the "before" shot. It's hard to tell but it has a solid trunk some nice branches on one side. I pruned and wired it in the raft style.
Juniper bushes and thorn scrub growing on the ancient earthworks at Danebury. The hill-fort, and its surrounding earthworks, were constructed in the Iron Age.
The Juniper Titmouse (Baeolophus griseus) is a tiny bird which forages for insects among the branches of the Juniper and Oaks of the California foothills.
