CAZ_10 [10 points]
Not that many beaches in the world have been 'invaded' by Invader. One of the 48 beaches of Antibes has been invaded. This one is the result of a re-activation as the original of 2007 had been deleted. Had to wait half an hour for direct sunlight which was no problem, waiting at the waterfront was not a problem. Parking was a huge problem here. "WELL PLAYED" is the message of FlashInvaders when you find this one.

Year of invasion: 2007
INVASION OF THE CÔTE D’AZUR
In the year 2007 Invader has invaded the entire coast of the French Rivièra. Instead of only one city he made a project of an entire region; Côte d’Azur. Spread out from La Ciotat to the Menton near the border of Italy.
The first wave consisted of 35 space invaders spread out over 24 cities with a total score of 990 points. In 2016 Invader put one invader up in Cavalaire-sur-Mer (CAZ_36) and in 2017 wave number 3 consisted another single one (CAZ_37).
Lots of them have been deleted throughout the years but there are already are about 9 space invaders re-activated.
wow wow wow! I bought this new 60 LEDs light and it's just awesome!!!
I took it out tonight for a spin on one of the docks in Juan le Pins, it turns out to be very powerful as expected.
We're going out tomorrow with Julian and Benoit with a lot of light gears like this, so we should normally be back with great photos.
A few cars stand out amongst the Renaults, Peugeots and Citroens, with a gold Opel GT and something big an American on the left, another Jaguar on the right (420?) and a Fiat 124 Coupe.

Vincent spitting fire during last week's fire light painting photo session!
We organized a little light painting evening with fire last week. We had 3 jugglers (including one fire spitter) and 3 photographers, all equipped with SLRs and tripods.
The idea of the evening was to do some light painting with fire.
Benoit, Julian and myself were taking photos, and Olivier, JB and Vincent were juggling. The evening was really nice, we spent 2 hours shooting in different configurations, we had some really nice results as well. The thing with fire is that you don't control it as much as normal flash lights when doing light painting, so the pictures are a bit less prepared than our previous light painting experiments. But the texture of the fire is really really cool.
This one is not a light painting photo per say cause the exposure time was around 1/1000th of a second only in order to freeze the fire shot in the air.
But we did many photos that lasted around 5 to 30 seconds depending on what we wanted to achieve. I've posted another one to show the kind of things we did.
Quite happy with how things turned out, we all had fun and went away with fairly nice photos, next time I'd like to try and "build" scenes a little more, perhaps with several light sources.
Wandering the port town of Antibes in the South of France, I found myself in one of those "not a care in the world" moments. Hopping on and off the train that day, I had a purpose, albeit a simple one at that.....to capture the color and texture of this part of the world. I must admit, its nice to give yourself that freedom now and then. To just slow down, with no agenda, and get to know a new place. I guess the real trick is to embrace every day in life with that same vision. Finding those opportunities in the hectic pace of life can sometimes be a challenge, but they are worth fighting for!
