I built this ages ago and wanted to re-upload it so everyone can enjoy it. Its based off of the STA-14 obviously, but not exactly accurate.

The Kelpies at Falkirk

Material: Camera Raw, Nikon d3400

Process: Use camera raw to adjust contrast and saturation of color. Use adjustment brush to adjust highlights and exposure to tree leaves.

Idea: How does the combination of man made objects and nature affect a photographs meaning.

Meh, I was bored, and wanted to make a pistol. so I made this.

Didn't realise there were no pics of this so here it is

This image has just come through to me from a friend who is kindly scanning some of my slides for me. I haven't seen it since the day the box of slides arrived back from probably Agfa, and I presumably checked to see my camera was still working. As I never made any notes after 1983, it will require some detective work to figure things out. The location is clearly Buchanan Bus Station. The Citylink vehicle is Eastern Scottish CLL144 or 145 which were allocated to Edinburgh in 12/84 for the 500 service which I think ran through to Ayr from Edinburgh at that time, and the pair remained at Edinburgh until transferred to Livingston in 6/88. Clearly, I had tried to get the two vehicles together, but ended up with a dog's breakfast of a photo. The vehicle behind is Fife FRA75, first allocated in Citylink livery to Newburgh depot for the X54 service to Perth, and transferred (with 76) to Dunfermline in 6/85, for the X26 service, normally on the 1.20 from Glasgow to Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy. In 9/85 it was repainted in to this coach livery, so the picture must have been taken after that, but before 10/86 when it was transferred to Glenrothes. If only I had made notes at that time!

JS 8250 dragging the passenger train coming to Fengshuigou station. JS 8250 had an accident crashing with a truck early this October and not yet come back to use. Unfortuantely, the passenger train has died, much earlier than the stem locomotives.
