Ian is a very active healthy 8 year old boy. Ian was born with a Rare Disease called Phenylketonuria PKU
Phenylketonuria (also called PKU) is a condition in which your body can't break down an amino acid called phenylalanine. Amino acids help build protein in your body. Without treatment, phenylalanine builds up in the blood and causes health problems.
Ian has learned to follow a Low Protein Diet. He has a special formula he drinks every day. And is Pro T doing his monthly blood draws at the lab.
