Parking meters at John's Pass in Treasure Island, Florida.

It was eire. There were a lot of cars on the lot, but no people on the sidewalk and the shops were closed. The thunderstorm helped the feel, too.

I was on my way home and saw this duo on the road, put my breaks on and turned around to find out where they went. I finally tracked them down at a stop sign and clicked away. Had a short conversation and found out that this guy takes this dog with him everywhere he goes, dressed like this. And that dog was in the same position you see in this picture when they were traveling much faster! Yep! Quite a conversation piece for sure! Can't say I have ever seen this before! : )

Food for thought:

"Did you ever notice when you blow in a dog's face he gets mad at you? But when you take him in a car (or in this case a motorcycle) he stick his head out the window?" -Steve Bluestone

"A dog is one of the remaining reasons why some people can be persuaded to go for a walk (or in this case take a motor cycle ride)" O.A. Batista

Enjoy Him, cause He sure enjoys you! :)

Small sighs, like small tides, roll in and out of our mouths. When did we get so tired of this love?

I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.

[Psalm 9:1-2 NIV]

5 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

1. Like it or not, we are ALL sinners: As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous—not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” (Romans 3:10-12 NLT)

2. The punishment for sin is death: When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. (Romans 5:12 NLT)

3. Jesus is our only hope: But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8 NLT) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 NLT)

4. SALVATION is by GRACE through FAITH in JESUS: God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT)

5. Accept Jesus and receive eternal life: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 NLT) But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12 NLT) And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. (1 John 5:11-12 NLT)

Read the Bible for yourself. Allow the Lord to speak to you through his Word. YOUR ETERNITY IS AT STAKE!

Hope you roll smoothly and warmly into the weekend!

I took this photograph of a Brown Pelican from the Boardwalk, which runs West to East (Paralleling the Inlet) between the Businesses (aka: Souvenir Shops, Restaurants & other Tourist Shops) on the North Side and the Charter Boats, Jet Ski Rentals, Parasailing Boats, etc. (on the South Side) paralleling the Inlet.

I was standing on the Boardwalk at various points, in order to take photographs from a variety of angles along the length of the Boardwalk and the Inter-coastal Water Way.

The Scientific Name for the Brown Pelican is: Pelecanus occidentalis.

I took this photograph of a Shore Bird perched on a Rock near John's Pass Inlet between Madeira Beach and Treasure Island in Pinellas County, Florida. I believe this is a Female Anhinga because of the Brown Neck (Males are all Black except for White on the Wings and Shoulders).

Anhinga's Dive & Swim below the Surface of the Water, Searching for their food. After they finish Fishing, they stand on the Shoreline with outstretched Wings to Dry their Wings !

The Scientific Name for the Anhinga is Anhinga anhinga, which is sometimes referred to as a Water Turkey.

Not really models but two salesgirls who model the shirts they are selling (and wearing) at their booth during the John Pass Seafood Festival in Madeira Beach, Florida. No festival would be complete with out T shirts for sale and these 2 beautiful ladies were walking advertisements for the shirts.

This is the 34th annual seafood festival here at John's Pass Village in Treasure Island Florida. It went from Fri Oct 25 to Sun Oct 27. This is the actual boardwalk which there's abundant entertainment as is. The crowds were huge and the gulf grouper was yummy.

There is a certain charm to signs glowing in the night, beacons that beckon us forth from the dark alleys and sounds of distant laughter & conversation floating on the air.

I took this photograph of the Tourist Attractions on the North (Madeira Beach) Side of John's Pass Inlet at the Intersection of Village Boulevard and 129th Street E. in Pinellas County, Florida.

There are Jet Skis to & Fishing Boats to Rent, Para-sails to fly, Shops and Restaurants to visit. This photograph shows John's Pass Village looking East on 129th Ave. Looking West towards Gulf Blvd at the very center of the photograph. See the Green Pedestrian Bridge that crosses over 129th Ave. from the Parking Garage on the Right to the Hooters Sports Bar near the Faux Light House.

This is an extremely BUSY Photograph with many attractions in sight. For instance there's an Irish Bar and DELOSA's PIZZA and what looks like a Multi-Story Yellow Rooming House on the Right Side with Multiple Porches.

I took this photo a few nights ago. Sometimes photography is such an incredibly relaxing profession. I wasn't even planning on doing much photography this night. I went for the drive more for the drive than for photography. But, I couldn't resist this photo.

The scene was harsher than it appears here, but the wind was actually cool since it was leading in an afternoon storm. I find clouds can really 'make' an image. But, my entire drive to this location, the sky was a dreary overcast with no break in sight. Somehow, within the five minutes it took for me to park, pay the meter and do a little scouting walk before I got my camera gear out, this thunderhead built and was quickly heading my way.

Anyways, I am really happy with this shot. Love the 'Good Ole Florida' feel it's got going on....
