A little focal fence Friday approach!
Beyond the twines of the barbed wire are the rusty remains created by time and emptiness...ooh that sounds so heavy!
Happy Fence Friday!
Fellow Flickr friends - I'm hunting down new photographs and going to enjoy my other pastime of Fly-fishing - will see you back online around the 23rd.
Save all those precious photos for me - I will do my best at commenting when I return.
You never know what kind of interesting & quirky things you may run into when walking through historic Jacksonville, Oregon.
Gold King Mine in Jerome, Arizona.
Fun place to explore. A graveyard of old cars, trucks and buildings.
I was shopping for a new suit .. but Just couldn't decide on what color! I finally went with a rust color. Now all I need is a tie-er to match.
I've passed these old jalopies a few times but only recently had the opportunity to shoot them. (Dopey is 4th from the right, Sneezy 6th from the left!)
Found just off the Granite Ridge Trail, a long way from any road, at Killarney Provincial Park.
Infrared Photograph.
Sometimes the unexpected comes along – such as this old banger, which parked up in front of the house for a couple of days and then moved on.
And just to think... many years ago this was a shiny, smart, gleaming MGB, someone's pride and joy. But what it is now is anyone’s guess; it’s certainly a hybrid.
Because it’s seemingly a rusty tin can falling to bits, a neighbour checked it out on the DVLC database – and to his astonishment discovered that it’s taxed, insured and in possession of a valid MoT certificate. How did that happen?!
I found this gem in rural Alberta. I even asked the little old lady if I could have permission to take pictures of the car. She looked at me like I was insane but I am super grateful I asked.
I re-painted the Disney Jalopy that belonged to Tatiana.
I got it for $2.50 at the thrift store. A pretty good investment I think!
Special thanks to my good friend Rich for all the expert help! Couldn't have done it without you!!
Bare bones hot rod photographed at the Back to the Fifties car show and then "re-parked" in front of this old barn

Spotted in Washington State by an apple orchard. This old vehicle had no markings and I have no idea who made it or what year it might be. Anyone have any ideas?
Won't be on Flickr for a few days - catch up to you after the weekend....save your best photos for when I return to comment.
Set up on blocks - this looks to be restored at least for show. Found down near the Amana Colonies in Iowa. The front grill caught my eyes...seems to have a happy face!
This old Ford withstands the chill of winter. With the coating of snow and the design of its grill we could call it "Grampa Ford".
This is all part of Leonard Knight's home and never-ending art project: Salvation Mountain. If I swiveled to the left, you'd see it.
He collects these trucks and cars, often donated to him, and eventually they end up just existing, scattered around the mountain, as art pieces.
But my favoutire part of this is the wonky pseudo-swing. For sure.
