Just Another Gorgeous evening of light over the Calgary resevoir? Or maybe this one is just a little different. The ice does not entirely cover the water rather, it protrudes into the image enough to add a smooth texture unlike the rougher texture of the flowing water. The even ice also reflects the various streaks of light from the sky unlike the water that shows only a monotone color from the same source
Pinking shears, my effort for this weeks MacroMonday . Have a blessed week fellow Macro Monday members. HMM!
On the way home from visiting a friend in eastern Washington, we stopped at the Vezzoni business. Mr. Vezzoni does logging, excavating, wood sales, etc., and on the side he indulges in a hobby of buying and selling vintage vehicles. He recently acquired a 1954 Jaguar which had been stored in a barn since the mid 1970's. It has all the original windows, dials, chrome, etc. Even the tool boxes and the hub caps are available. Vezzoni is storing those items separately because he wants to keep them from getting stolen. As a bonus, the vehicle comes comes with the legend that Elizabeth Taylor was often chauffeured around in it. It is for sale for $7,500.00. Hopefully we will be able to stop again when the light is better before he sells it.
Happy Saturated Saturday!
Ordovician metasediments form resistant rock outcrops and headlands near Bermagui on the NSW Far South Coast. Some provide good viewpoints as well, and in this case the area of mown grass (part of a Coastal Walk) provided a great takeoff/landing site for Petrov.
